Default Hey everyone, new to the board

Hey guys (and gals), thought i would introduce myself. Been reading on the board for a bit and finally got around to registering.

Been riding for a good while and raced with WERA a while back.

Had a boat slew of different bikes but finally added a RC51 to my stable.
2000 year model; pretty much stock besides an exhaust and some cosmetic things, no damage other than typical 10 years worth of little nicks and such. Paid $3600 for it....seemed like a offer to good to pass up.

I also ride a pair of R1's. one in street trim and one built as a naked style street fighter. I have a Aprilia SXV550 super moto and a KX450F MX bike as well.

Anyone have any heads up on maint issues i should keep an eye out for with it? Has about 22,000 miles on her.

Thanks
Bob

Welcome Bob...there's a lot of info on here. These bikes are pretty bullutproof....typical Honda. The more you ride it, the more you'll like it. How about a pic of that R1 Streetfighter?

Welcome

Not many issues to worry about, beside the normal stuff. Valves at 14 or 15k so if that hasnt been done yet. Enjoy your pig!

Well i do, do all my own service work on my bikes and intend to check everything over real well this winter. I have realized the bike has a hot wire to the cooling fan as it is on all the time with the ignition on. Is this a common mod? From my research i see that like many twins the RC tends to run a bit warm. My Aprilia SXV550 is much the same way.

R1 streetfighter is being revamped as we speak but i will get pics of the stable for everyone asap.

Supermoto is in the process of being sold. Christ that is a fun little bike though! 650cc would of been better for my use though. I used her on the road and she was not mean to tool along over 65 ish. Ill get some pics of the stable this weekend.
