Default Tires in Phoenix

Ok so I am finally going to take the RC out of long term hibernation. Need a new set of tires. Well Sport bike track gear has some smoking deals right now on tires. When i looked for a shop to mount and balance them they all wanted between 60 and 90 bucks to mount and ballance and this was off the bike. Seems very high to me. Any one here in the Phoenix area have a shop that will do this for a more reasonable price?

Sorry to hear about the Price Gouging for a tyre swap N Balance.. That's crazy! That's one of the reasons why I've been doing my own tyre changes now for 15+ Years!... Busted my Ass doing them for 13 14 of those years.. until I got a "No-Mar" Worth every single penny and dollar!

FWIW.. SBTG... They Always have great prices...

I have been seriously considering trying to change them my self. The last time I had them done on my Harley they raped me for 120 bucks!!! What would you recommend I purchase if I where to do this my self? My biggest concern is just destroying my rims

Ya, Ive thrown a tire iron across the garage before. I recommend the No-Mar too.

Tires Plus will do them for me, I think it was $25 for two tires last time I was in there. I would bring in my tires and bare rims. They would just mount them and I would balance them at home.

My shiny new BT003s were just delivered last Friday. I've been DIY for the last 9 years using parallel clamps to break the bead and tire irons for the rest. I've got that system down pretty good BUT NOW I can just give Tom a call and bring over a 12 pack of cheap beer and I'm good to go!

Tom, how about letting me take your no-mar for a test drive ?

The best part about doing it yourself is knowing it was done correctly and being solely responsible for scuffing up your own rims. Kind of like the first few door dings in your new car, you get to the point where it's no big deal.

Why don't you swing over tonight/tommorow Drew/Devo/Tunnelvis and I will be un-loading the michelin truck and her precious "rc-51" cargo and Mason just might help you mount and balance

That's HIS machine but I'll still take a twelver
