Default So You Say You Like Big V-Twins. How Do Like 3500cc Big?

Bad Dog 215 Cubic Inch V-Twin

I wonder if I can shoehorn this in the RC?

My bike now = thump thump thump thump

My bike after = THUMP .. THUMP .. THUMP .. THUMP .. THUMP

Of course, by the time it's all said and done I'll spend nearly the price of a Desmo just on the engine.

Quote:
The complete power unit, including motor, six speed transmission, primary drive, fuel injection, ignition, engine management system with software, sensors, charging system, external oil pump and starter has an anticipated price of $40,000. Final MSRP has not yet been set. We anticipate having a firm price by mid 2009.

(1) Power? Probably easily over 180.
(2) Weight ... hmmm ...
(3) MPG? Take the wonderful MPG of an RC51 and halve it.

Weight and size would be the big issue with it. Would love to hear it though..

I thought the 2053cc Kawasaki Vulcan I'm hoping to buy over the winter was big ! Don't think there is much of a market for such a mega-twin considering most think even the Kawy is just too unwieldy , as evidenced by dismal sales and resulting rumours of discontinuation . I suppose those considering the Boss Hoss might look at it . The weight of the crank alone will be tremendous .

Considering this is probably bigger than the VRod Motor, which according to The Harley Plant in Kansas City weighs 485 pounds, I bet it is 2 heavy to be any good for more than a "Look at how large my motor is" bike. I mean it would be cool to see running much like the Tomohawk is cool to see running but is still worthless.
