Thumbs down Link pipes melting my boots

Recently installed a set of scorpion pipes
lovely sound off them

But i find my boots melting(specifically my right side boot) on the link pipes
Is there any part i can install over the pipe to stop contact

Wrap exhaust tape around the area where the pipe gets too near your boot.

if your looking for something a little less abrasive, I've had good luck with those magic eraser sponges. get the pipe nice and hot and then go to town.
