Yup thats me. Thats the only pass that was made on me all day too, and I remembered it all day. Needless to say I started practicing braking going into turn one later and later. I love riding with people that are faster than me cuz it makes me faster.

Ahhh yes, cuz I remember thinking "Man those new CBR's have tiny little tail sections" haha. Your bike looked good man, hopefully my bike didn't blow your ear drums out, when I got home there was no packing left in the exhaust .
BTW: Thanks for finding that video, it rocks! I've watched it several times now and I already see where I can be faster and take better lines

Awesome Video!
You were definitely haullin the mail and it was clear to me You have a much faster pace... You just had a hard time passing is all.. BUT You even made the comment in your video about the straight line speed of that RC51...
So me being me, I'm just wondering,.. how is it,.. He's running that fast on a RC51 and you're on you're haulling ass on a CBR1000RR (Correct?) And Yet,.. we hear time and time again.. how a 600 WILL Flat out Smoke an RC51?!

No you guys are confused.
The guy who is riding the bike with the camera mounted isn't a member on here (that I know of). Ohio Hawk just came across this video on YouTube and must of recognized my bike. He was there that day, but he's not in the video.
I'm the guy that's on the RC51 in the black and white leathers (the one who gets passed at the end).

I was not the one shooting the Video that was a guy name Mark on this 08 CBR1000 I was just watching the battle from my 08 CBR1000 and yes that RC runs good... The RC passed me coming out of the keyhole one time and that is were the V-twin's torque really shows but as soon as I could twist the throttle on my CBR I was all over the back of the RC
So I'm not sure why Mark did not just pull out and pass the RC on the straights I'm guessing he never had the right opportunity... But with all that it was fun to watch the battle.

A really nice video of some decently quick riders enjoying the day. That RC has some power, too!

Nope just standard stuff. Jardine 2-1, PCIIIUSB, paired, flapped, soft rev removed, and fresh plugs and air filters. Forks have Race Tech valves with top out springs, rebuilt by JD Hord. Rear suspension is bone stock.

WOW! LMAO!... Kickin' ass like that and running with the OEM shock
Man I can't believe it.. again.. how many years have we been hearing, that any 600cc from 2000\01\02\03\0? and Up, will smoke our RC51?! Blows me away
Anyway man... I am VERY surprised (As this is a Track\Race RC51 only correct?) And you're not running a Thorsten\TurnOne AirBox?!. .
FYI... > You are missing out on some killer beneffits brother! Dropping approx.7+lbs from high up, right under your fuel cell, which becomes your AirBox cover LOL And,.. and,.. not to mention the real Nice Boost in HP.
Anyway, thanks again for this video and info., Do the AirBox mod., You Will thank me later.
Peace

Thanks bro! It was a street bike when I bought it last December, and just became a track-only bike over the summer.
Building horsepower had been the name of the game when I first bought my Mustang 7 years ago, and was the main point of focus on that car. Now that I'm turning corners with RC, I feel the need to concentrate on other areas first, mainly suspension and brakes. I've done my research on engine mods for the RC and I've seen on Hord's website just how much an aftermarket airbox and snorkel is worth on these bikes. Over the winter the only power related thing I plan on doing to the bike is having it custom mapped. The bike came with the 2-1 exhaust so if I come across a SP2 header I will probably pick it up so I can get the duals back on down the road.
Other than that, rear suspension, steering damper, brakes, and maybe battery re-location will be my main point of focus. If I have the bike long enough (without wrecking it ), eventually an airbox will find its way on there!

Cool.... BUT What's wrong with your "Brakes" if I may ask...?
Contact Scott aka CBR400RR He will hook you up with this is the set-up right here:> Brembo MC, HRC hard bite pads, and SS lines and You are good to go! = Killer brakes mang.
Peace
PS. FWIW., The "Snorkel", it doesn't do anything, compared to the AirBox.. Trust me!
