I just picked up my First RC51 SP2 for $2200. It's a 03 with 18k miles on the clock. So far it seems to be a pretty fun bike, but needs some money thrown at it to make it better. The previous owner put some busted ass 2 bros. exhaust on it. What POS's! I emailed carbonpartz.com trying to get a price on his single sided exhaust, but I have yet to hear from him. hint hint
Other then that I look forward to getting the beast up to Jennings GP and sorting out the suspension. Speaking of suspension, what is more beneficial, a rear shock shim/spacer or the DK link or both? I know, I know....use the search button blah blah blah. Help a brother out!
I'll see you guys around the forum and looking forward to meeting some of you in person. I'm in Tampa and ride with Seductive Cycles.
Wow, $2,200? What else is wrong with it?
FYI, a big twin is supposed to have the dual cans. It's squidly to go single...unless you wan't less power.

Oh, and thanks in advance for the help!
Welcome Mark at carbonpartz doesn't make an actual 2:1 exhaust. If thats what you want you'll need to get a jardine 2:1 exhaust and then buy one of carbonpartz cans. Thats what I did.

Thanks for the warm welcomes guys! I guess I'm just a big squid at heart. I found a set of new Harris High Mount slip-ons for $489. I'm just not sure what I want. I figure you cant go wrong with weight savings on such a heavy bike, that's why I'm looking at the 2-1.
As for the bikes condition. It looked rough when I brought it home, but it cleaned up well. It needs new chain and sprockets (going tri-metal and RK). I'm probably going to order a set of All balls Head bearings as well just for regular maintenance.
