Don't run a 200 sized tire. On anything. Ever. Never. Don't have anything chromed or stretched. Ever.
Your sizes are 180 and 190. 55 is the most common profile, turns much better than the 50. Turning is what the RC and all sportbikes were made for. Depending on the maker and type different tall profiles will help, like 60,65,70.
Your best bet for the RC is a 180/55, and even better than that is a 190/55...but that's a couple bucks more. The 190/55 gives you more rubber at lean. Which is what sportbikes where made for.
well first off i am not considering it, just saw them on a website, and they they were talking about how the dunlop qualifier 200 size tire was a better tire for the twisties and stuff, if you have a 1000cc bike. Personally i think it looks out of place. Kind of like that 240 kit shit. I plan on sticking with the stock size.
What about preferences with tires. Right now i have Dunlop D208, all i do is normal rode driving.

That's cool. There's lots of really good tire info on this site.
I have to say that the qualifiers that I ran sucked! I never could find the right pressure or temp and found them very unpredictable. One tire works well on one bike, and not another....but members here have had good results, so its pretty personal. I've had great luck with powers and 2ct's, up to hot hot trackdays when the tire starts to get a little slippery. If I had to suggest a base line tire it would be a 180/55, due to cost and profile for the rc. Next would be a 190/55.
Its difficult sometimes with tires, and costly to weed out what doesn't work. And all the interweb wise guys, like myself
every a-hole is entitled to his own opinion. i have run almost every treaded tire out there on my rc. i have 45k miles now. i am currently running a 200/50 dunlop d220. let the flaming begin. i have a fire proof suit. i dont take my bike to the track, and when i put this tire on the bike, i was commuting over a hundred miles a day to work. some of the tires you flamers know and swear by dont last a month on the back of an rc crusing straight down a freeway at 75mph. i got as little as 1000 miles out of one tire. i cant afford that shit. i have 2 other bike payments and car payments and kids and a wife thats likes to eat nice dinners. new tires for the rc are far down the list. the d220 will go 8000 miles. now, you dont want to twist the throttle wide open at full lean, and you can spin it straight up sometimes too. this is a price i have to pay to keep my baby. there are pictures of my bike in my gallery with the 200 on it. it fills the space in the swingarm nicely. it looks better than smaller tires. if you dont like it, i could give a flying f@ck. the guy simply asked if anyone had used a 200 or had a pic. yes i have, and yes i do. on a flamer friendly note, i understand dunlop no longer makes this tire so when my 8000 miles or so is up, i will be looking for different tires. i dont commute on the rc anymore, so i will be going back to something a little more sticky, in a 190/50 im sure. maybe ill look into finding some of those colored tomohawks that used to be advertised on here..........
thanks for the pics man. i was curious as to how it looked. it does fill the swingarm pretty good. i don't track my bike. it is pretty much 90% commute and 10% cruising around town.
I had the occasion to ask a Michelin inspector.
They advise running a 190/50 on the road (for legal reasons, of course, not because it's inherently superior to other tyre sizes) but otherwise 180/55 is the size to go on the VTR-SP.
