ill wait for the finished product to pass judgement ... but right now!? thats a lot of red, which its nice when its the right red...from the crappy phone picture which might be not doing it justice...its the wrong red.

maybe when you add the stripe and what not, it will come together.

ps; i know its too late to say it because its done, but polishing a frame and specially the wheels on ANY bike, tends to cheapen the overall result...but thats purely my personal opinion.

+1 ill agree as well that ya cant pass judgement yet as the paint is not compleatly done, also from the phone pic you cant really tell if its for a street bike or a track bike ( i dont clearly see a headlight in the front). Also leave the chroming to the harley guys, my

No stock headlights, it's a sharkskinz race upper and lower stock tank, fender, and tail. There will be quick remove HID blue headlights added later for dual purpose street/track.

agree, that's a lot or red... maybe some decals would help break it up... or maybe it's just a bad picture?

the sweetest RC51's I've seen are the Castrol Edwards replicas

I can appreciate the work it takes to paint bike plastics, but it's too much red.

Check out tapeworks or other bike sticker manufacturers. You've got a great base there for some more work.

Ride safe.

Not to sound mean, but it looks like a Nagger bike that you'd find parked at Hooters on Wednesday night. Especially with all the polished stuff. Not for me. By the way, I thought maybe that was a bad pic, so I followed the link in your sig to see more, but the link is broken...

I think we read it right. I don't think he meant belong to someone who nags. Probably stuck back in the 40s. Pretty sickening, huh?

This is 1 of the member here post on my thread and i alway remerber.

A little bling is fine as long as it does not detract from performance. Nothing about a polished swingarm/frame slows this bike down or makes it handle worse. It's just personal style. When most of the rest of our bikes look relativly the same (mine included), a bike like this is a nice standout. Very tastefully done...welcome to the board!

Thank you Smokngun. Hey RCBRE do what you get to do men..Don't let them detract you.

RC51 street riders.

Exclamation

First of all I am Black, so the racial remark doesn't go over well. It's sad to see this type of ignoracne not only in this time, but in this forum. Motorcyclist are outcasts among society, people don't respect us or our space, some just hate for the simple sake, and I won't even start on how rare, true RC51 lovers are. So to be degraded in this forum were I considered myself among friends in the sense of common passion genuinely hurts. You are entitled to your opinion, but that remark was inappropiate for this forum, and I hope it offended more than myself.

Second, lol yes the kickstand and many other parts such as cush drive, and many of the visible bolts are powdercoated baron red. or tomato soup as wibbly called it =) haha

Third, I didn't mentioned but I do have alot of decals:
PIRELLI
GALFER
OHLINS (scotts sterring damper)
PROGRIP
TAURUS (my gun)
AMA
HRC
GP STAR (matches my jacket)
WOODY (checkered flag)
KAPPA ALPHA PSI (college fraternity)
SQUARE & COMPASS (mason)
BREIL
BLUE JEANS GAS
EK CHAIN
ARAI
ELF
NGK
ENKEI
HONDA RACING
FOX
MICRON
HONDA WING
NISSIN
SHARKSKINZ
EBAY
SP-1

All of these contribute to me or my bike in some way.

Oh, and I don't like Hooters' food, so I don't hang out there sorry! If you wanna find me I'll be where the corners are! lol

ZOMG!! RACISM!!!

Here are some pics for reference.

You guys can think whatever you want about me. I'm just saying that my first impression of the OP's bike reminded me of bikes like this. The Nagger reference is from South Park (we've been over that before), and it got the point across. Now bring on the angry mob with the torches and stakes!

i was first thinking of honda red myself when i was painting my bike but eventually got steared towards black. IMO, the stickers should break up the red and it looks like your going for more of a show bike with the chrome etc. I think it'll all come together, its just not there yet and sometimes hard to visualize.

IMO, i would not put your frat sticker, thats like chic's getting a tramp stamp at 18 and wishing they never had by 30. But, thats my opinon and its your bike. Can't wait to see the finished product.

That's great! If the image doesn't link, check out the *Ohlins* shock in his Photobucket acct. Awesome!

This pic is a better shot of the red. Looks much better than the first pic suggests. Looking forward to seeing the finished project...

If I quoted a Jewish comment form Jerry Seinfeld, that wouldn't go to well. You know me being from the other side of the fence and all.

Just an etiquette lesson: you can't make potentially offensive comments about a demographic and not be in that demographic.

But hey this isn't Etiquette 101, so keep it real in yo hood cuz and ima hold it down on my block, homie!
