Just picked up this '05 RC with 3,400 miles last week in Los Angeles. I really love this bike!!! I've always wanted one, but for some reason, just never got one until now.
Sato Ti pipes & PCIII... Now just need a Seat Cowl for the back. She only came with the passenger seat.
This is truely a great site full of guys who are true enthusiasts for the RC51. Unlike the gixxer 'tards, this site has a lot of peeps who will bend over backward if you ever need help with your bike. Lots O knowledge, and its not uncommon for guys here to offer the loan of a good tool and such now-and-then.
That is the reason I have stayed around here for as long as I have, and I don't even have an RC51 anymore. But that will change someday soon.

Hey Jeff, I don't mind saying how much I paid. $6,500 and it's super clean and runs great. When I found this one, I just knew it was the one!
Bladerunner: Your right, when I was looking around for a good RC forum, this one really stood out. Some other forums, when you look at how many replies there are for the threads, many would only have 1 or even 0 replies to posted questions. Not a whole lot of brotherhood there.
Here is a little of my background:
I'm 38 and have been riding and racing since the age of 7. Started with MX and raced that until I was 15 (that's also when Indian Dunes was closed '85). Then, I went to street bikes and then raced CCS and AMA Pro SuperSport and SuperBike in my mid 20's. I worked as an Instructor at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving for a couple of years ('95-'96)
Currently, I am a Stuntman/Stunt Driver and I'm the Lead Instructor for the Barber Driving Experience. I do, from time to time, drive in Time Attacks for various teams. In '06 and '07 I wrote a couple of articles for SuperStreet Magazine and Modified Magazine (I like to build sick turbo cars )
Anyway, enough of that crap! I hope I can be an asset to my RC brothers on this forum.
All the Best,
Craig

8181k12 is a mc master p/n for a 12x12 sheet of c/f
I made a tail cowl and fastened it with some ss 4-40 buttonhead screws with tapped rectangular aluminum nutplates underneath.
If you use the bitchpad rubber peice between it and the tail it does not even touch the paint.
Sorry about the pics.
The last one is o3 rc's bike I don't know how he fastened his and I can't find my pic.
Welcome, (be sure to grow a thick skin, it gets brutal here sometimes!)
