Yep - one of the best ever!

This race is one of the reasons I'm still rooting for Edwards in MotoGP, even though it doesn't seem to be happening anymore.

(youtube video quality sucks though!)

I've been meaning to buy the DVD of the '02 SBK season for ages. I feel the same way about Edwards - wish he could get on the top of the podium just once in MotoGP before he gives it away. Another example of a rider shafted by Honda: wins 2 Superbike titles for them plus the Suzuka 8 hrs and instead of backing him in his move to MotoGP they show him the door. After reading the Bike article (posted here someplace recently) about the development of the SP and the input CE and Aaron Slight had into the project I realized how much we owe him for the bike we love.

And he was so close that one time in Assen too! Leading into the last S - trying to fend of Hayden going into the corner way too hot - Hayden goes straight through, Edwards tries to make the corner and crashes - Hayden wins the race.

Recorded and put to DVD both of those races. Still watch em at least a dozen times a year.
