Meh, it comes and goes. Just like the people. I help out in the tech section when I can, but I'm just not that smart, still learning. I like the general discussion for the drama.... makes me laugh. I do get tired of the some peoples incessant bitching though....

The good ol-days are over.... been over a year since a good MD,VA,WV 15 page thread. I stumble in every couple days but never post..... most have sold their 51's and moved on.
And with no ROUGE Barber this year I suspect it will get even worse.

The bike is 8+ years old, what can there possibly be to discuss any more? If you don't know that Magical and BST make the best carbon, u've been living under a rock. If you don't know Marchi/BST/JB's are the best wheels, then u can't read. And get this, Thorsten makes some nice stuff, but his responsiveness, wait time, and customer service are lacking. Yes, this is all a newsflash!

Two Bro's Custom Shortys, of course ...
j/k. I would have to say, the baby boomers that were once here, have moved out of the fast lane and into the sight seeing. But, there is still a lot of knowledge here. Pretty soon, my rocket will be done, and then the day of 205 will finally be proven, and we can put that little baby to bed.
Still rockin, and keep um runnin.
Squids and Newbies: Antiquate yourself with the search, if the info is confusing, ask for clarification, not the rebirth.
side note: Anyone know with my metal shin, will I need to shave some pounds from the left side of my bike, more than the right...for balance... ...And it's my kickstand leg.

Well, if any of those old timers are still lurkin' around, feel free to post up. I've been a long time lurker and do miss some of y'all funny sarcasm and dramas. But I do have to add that a lot more lurkers are posting now, like myself that used to just watch from a distance.
Oh yah, what ever happened to that loooong post with all those pictures of the umbrella girls? That has got to be one of the best topics I've seen!

mrgrm- you are a weird dude! This year I made a big decision to keep and upgrade my 00 RC instead of a new bike. I have had two RCs new. I have been doing some winter mods and my recent posts have been what you say. Your funny, you slam me for my recent posting and then agree about the type of posting lately. LOL!! Can you say bipolar? J/K lighten up.
mrgrm- Since being a member here I have posted and gave advice on track techniques, track info, handling, performance, tech info, tire experience, stock suspension set up for track use, step by step paint prep post, help members fix their bike for free in my garage and back yard, lent tools and stands, gave away my spares, sold spares cheap to people in need, purchase from members, and even gave one on one training on the racetrack to a member during his first track day. (I forgot about my defensive posts in response to the American/US soldier bashing that was on going in the lounge) I have been a good member and not a post whore.
This place has entertained me, helped me and been a stress relief to me for a few years . I have always admired the caliber of members here.
So, I apologize to everyone if I offended.
I posted this after a few beers and (I know this has nothing to do with this site) arriving home from a ride where I had to pull over and put pressure and bandages on a car drivers head to stop severe bleeding for over an hour, till he was air lifted, after a SQUID tried to pass on a mountain road at over 100 mph and a un-straped helmet. Yes his helmet popped off and he met a few trees. I was just in one of those moods and thinking about what motorcyclist like that do for our sport.
All though I have to admit this thread is entertaining.

Duane, the fact remains. When you go to ANY other site and throw - up in your mouth instantaneously.
You'll realise this is the least squidliest.
P.S. great body position.
P.P.S. thank-you for serving

teach them, not bash them
I'll be the first to admit that I am not the most experienced rider. I'm also no the most technically sound rider. I don't do track days. I don't have a full body leather suit. Now I also don't try wheelies, stoppies, etc. I, like many others, have an RC because a) I like being on 2 wheels and b) I liked the look of the bike and the V-twin sound. I understand its a "track bike" built for aggressive riding. But if we don't use it that way, what makes that wrong in so many members opinions?
As far as "squids"... I've seen a lot of people bashing them for posting on here rather than teaching them on what to do/ not to do. Take the time to be constructive and maybe squids will learn. But telling someone who asks "how fast will this go?" to "kill yourself." is crap.

I'm a new RC owner, and coming here for the first time a few weeks ago has provided a huge wealth of information from the search function alone.
Keep the informative posts you seek coming, and I'm sure others will respond in kind. You can never avoid the posts asking about pipes/led's/undertails - nature of the beast that is the interweb.

I prefer glass ones. How they get all those colors to twist around inside is a mystery. Tip: if you drop yours try to break it's fall with your foot.
