Default Piggy like the Qualifyers

I had them put on today. They really make the RC feel agile, almost like my Aprilia did. The profile of the front tire really makes the RC fall right into a turn without much effort on the bars. Plenty of traction too. Good tires, I recommend them to anyone.
I will have them really scrubbed in by tomorrow and I'll hit the local twisties.

i thought the qualifiers were ok as well, warmed up quick and gripped well. they ddnt last worth a damn. my first set lasted me less than a thousand miles, the second set maybe a lil over 2thou. the first set i used the 190 55 and it felt ok, but when riding real aggressive it made the bike turn in a lil too sharply and threw off my lines. after 2 sets of qualifiers i put on a set of pilot powers and wow what a difference. i would only get a set of qualifiers again if i ddnt have the extra loot for the pilots. the reason the bike feels like its fallin in well is cause the profile is short and fat on the front of the qualifiers, i compared it to the pilots and the pilots seemed taller and narrower in comparison .

I went with OEM size.....its does fall in real fast now..similar to oversteer on a car.......I will have to adjust my lines accordingly. I only ride on the weekends now, so they should last a while. I would think that a front profile with a more pointed, not rounded, profile would make it fall faster.
RRW does proper tire tests where they will adjust components to accound for tire height and profile across all manufacturers to get a better test result.

2 perelli diablo strata 180-55 immediately lighter on the bars and with 3k the rear picked up a screw still lots of tread great tire street/track

3 perelli corsa same as above but better sticky confidence got a set of take offs 100$

4 pilots ... I'll ride tommorow and let you know what my limited experience can say about them

hey MD. I caught that you bought them from crofton. Just curious whereabouts you are and what roads you ride around here. I only see a couple of rc's around the area and was just wonderin If I'd seen you out on the same twisties that I ride.

when i stood the tires side by side the 120 70 of the qualifiers and pilots the qualifiers looked shorter which i would imagine would account for the quicker drop in feel

I have a set of Qualifiers that I am putting on Monday. I haven't tried them on the RC yet but I really liked them on the old Buell. Really good grip, good feedback and predictable when you start to get some slip. They did wear fast but I'll trade wear for stick every time, I hate falling down. Here's something kinda odd speaking of wear, I put a PP race take off on the bike last time I was changing tires and the damn thing has lasted just as long as a DOT street tire. I've gotten just over 2000 miles out of it, I found it slightly confusing I was expecting way faster wear and it's not like I ride slow.

I gave the Qualifiers a good thrashing today on some back roads in AA county.....stick like glue and I finally got used to the quicker turn-in they have over the 208's. No doubt they will wear fast, but I only ride on weekends so they will last the rest of this season and a good part of next year. Total to get them bought, mounted, balanced was 428.00. My condo does not like me removing wheels in the garage, so this time around I rode to Crofton and waited while they did the whole job. I checked all the nuts/bolts and chain tension before I left the lot. All was fine.

If there is a better set of tires in the world.
I'm betting I could never tell the diffrence. Word of the day FLICK!
We all know what new feels like and that by itself is good these but these fukers stick like fly paper and make the bike feel waay lighter.

Thanks jetfxr and stunna for setting a sweet pace and going to the motos.

I got to use these hard for quite some time today and the best part is I don't need to read tire threads any more.

SOLD !!!

Damn. Did you buy the tires at a dealership? I have never paid over $220 for a set of Qualifiers delivered to my door and $18 a piece for mounting & balancing.

Default i feel ya pain

in having to pay retail for tires. i swore i would never pay over 400 to have some fresh rubber again. i had my friend mount my manual tire changer in the garage and bought some tire irons, a static wheel balancer and learned to mount and balance my own tires myself. so i dont pay retail to have some slacker take my bike apart and charge me too much to do what i can do myself in my garaqe

I got rid of my house.....I DON"T HAVE A GARAGE/SHED ANYMORE.....MY CONDO WILL NOT LET ME DO REPAIRS IN THE PARKING GARAGE....kapish?
I knew that when I bought it.

Besides, I'm 44 and getting lazy...I have worked on enough bikes and cars already....my time is better spent riding. So we will see how long these Qualifiers will last. I may finally get a steering damper now as I have alot more traction.
