Default New 51 Owner!

Awesome, it feels like x-mas morning getting my account validated on here finally! Well I just wanted to say hi to everyone and I just bought a 51 last weekend and it was the best 6k i have ever spent. I have been watching the board while i was waiting on my bike, and I think i have picked out that the "search" function is pretty important to you guys .

Oh, and one of the things i did when i got my bike was modified the passenger pegs because of the high mount exhaust. They look stock and i didn't have to mess with the tail section at all.. Plus it was free.

Congratulations and welcome aboard.

To get you started off right, you should post a couple of questions about which oil and chain lube you should use.

Enjoy the ride!

Beautiful ride. Welcome!!

By "modified passenger pegs", do you mean you removed them?

It's a 2002..
This bike has all bolts drilled and most wired.. It has some motor work done
its been bored 60 over and has high compression pistons..
Pair system removed
Flapper valve removed
USB Powercommander PCIII
Stainless braded lines front and back
Sato carbon fiber banzi mount exhaust...
Hot Body's Under tail with LED's
EK X Ring chain that is the 520 conversion with 4 teeth higher in the back and it sounds like heavon on earth, if heaven sounded like a tropical storm i guess .

It has Castrol Syntec oil with a factory oil filter in it right now, not sure if i will keep it the same or read around to see what everyone else is using, but i did see one post that went on for ever about oil, so im not sure i want to touch that one.

As for the passenger pegs, I modified the stock pegs with a grinder to fit snug under the tail section, but into the factory holes. They are sturdy and they look great. I mean i have to keep the bike looking nice if i wanna stick around here right
