Default So I went down Sunday....part 1

So I was up late helping Big Rob do the "free " mods on his Hayden rep and woke up later then expected Sunday morning. No excuse I know but needless to say I was in a hurry. When I got to the station I noticed the previous weekends problem pop back up again but like that herpes' sore you find and don't tell your girl about I took a pic and chose to "not bitch out again" and ride. My bad! Last weekend I had found a leak that was a quick fix from Stop leak but not knowing just how bad it was I rode on!(more to come on WHY later)

So off we go and feeling great about having so many RC's in harmony(enough to make you get goose bumps when it hits a certain note!) we push on to a rode i have come to enjoy allot as my dad lives out by it.

As we adjust and bid for positions making a fast and a slow group I find my self slowing up even on this rode, my rode as my left foot feels like it is slippery. This was enough to wake my up and get me attempting to look down for the issue. The rode would not allow for a clear look see as an opportunity opened to pass a waiving RC rider. He wanted me to pass so given the opportunity I jumped at it thinking Wingnut would be back in sight and I would have him on the next couple turns.

Pushing myself with-in road conditions and personal limits I pushed forward up to a gradual 130% right I positioned my body back to the left side in preparation for the last hair pin 90% angle I lean the bike down and gas only to find the rear sliding out!
Quickly I counter-steer back up and brake going straight again bringing the bike down to 35mph or so just to realize I was going to hit the guard rail so I lean again giving only 50% rear brake but it wasn't enough. I straightened her back up and the second the front rubber hit the gravel and I had the slightest front brake on the thing kicked me over and we slide for 15 feet until I was just at the rail. Popped back up wondering why steam was coming from the left rad and not the side that hit pavement.
Well the left rad had been pissing out fluid all over my left leg and left half of the rear wheel just enough to soap up the wheel for that LAST TURN!

Thanks to the rest of the group we got her picked back up and dusted off. Bike started and I found the issue IMMEDIATELY. Thanks to all the riders who not only helped but didn't let my mechanical failure ruin the day. I was good and we got the bike 1/4 to my dads house.
Although my dad is a great guy and all he pushed for me to try his "inventions/ideas" to get the bike home. Now you guys know where i get it from!
See flash light RAD plug Mod and Sobe' adrenaline can scoop mod for examples of stupidity. Can't get a hold of the front mount chap i had lined up nor the Left mount stock rad guy who had a commitment with me.
Warning!!!!!
if your Sp or SP2 has been layed down on either side with a fan, please make sure your fan is not in contact with the rad itself as it will turn a HUGE circular hole into the thing and no amount of stop leak can plug that kind of hole. DO NOT BUY SIDE MOUNT RAD BIKES FROM STUNTERS!!!!

Boy I'm glad you and the bike missed the gaurdrail, that could have sucked a bunch more than it did. It doesn't look too bad other than the puddle it leaves behind. I was wondering about the water bottle of antifreeze in your trunk.

I tried to be a boy scout but a real boy scout would have planned ahead and NOT gone until the critical part was replaced.
New rad on it's way thanks to another great member!

Glad your OK and the bike made it through "fixable". Guard rails scare the hell out of me! I'd almost rather go off the edge of a mountain, than get mangled up in a guard rail.

Thanks again guys and Winger, aren't you just changing the wheel? I have a fork front lift not a triple lift.

Happy to hear you only got "winged".

If you need any parts I think we're all willing to contribute what we have.
