I have a Qualifer on the rear and a 208 on the front. Its becasue the OEM 208 rear caught a nail in the first 1k miles and the shop only had a rear qualifier and I can be a cheap bastard. So its time for new shoes front and rear. I could go qualifier again for both, or maybe Pirelli, or Bridgestone. I may get a dual compound too. Have anyone tried that yet on the RC? I found the qualifier felt nice on the RC, for the rear anyhow.
I stay away from the track now, so its just fun saturday and sunday rides in MD, Va, and Pa. I may go to Summit next weekend and get tires/mounting. The Dunlop truck should be there as well as the Pirelli guys too. I used the D364's when I raced, those were great tires (for racing anyhow).

Power pilots feel amazing. Have yet to try the 2ct's though.
I'm certainly no expert. I've only been doing the sport bike thing for a couple seasons now (been sport/touring for 20 years or so). But I've now had a chance to try Qualifiers, Pilot Power 2CTs, and Pilot Powers. Each on the track, and on the street, as well. I like the Pilot Powers best on the track. I like Qualifiers on the street. Just my based on my very noobie experience.

I'm not a total idiot... there are a few parts missing.
my personal experience as far as street only riding goes, I prefer the Pirelli's over the p.p.'s or the dunlops. they are cheaper, stick up to withing 90% of the P.P's and last wayyyy longer. warm up time is far superior to the dunlops. although I haven't run any dunlops since the 208's
The Pilot Power 2CT are the best tires I have run yet, they work great in the canyons and the track for me and a lot of my customers use them too with no problems.
I have had my Metzeler M3's on all this season, and they still have life left in them!! I have put 10 000+ KM on them alone this season, I am really surprised how well they wear! Plus 2 track days totalling about 360km on the track. I like them on the track, probably not as good as I thought the M1's were on the track... but they are plenty goodIMO
gunna kinda Highjack a bit. was thinking about the 2ct's for an upcoming trip. riding down through skyline drive/ blue ridge all the way down to deals gap. Just wondering if anybody has any input about how screwed they are going to be by the time I get to the gap. the last thing I want is a set of square tires at the dragon. I've allways run dunlops, 208s for the last few years. I do ride fairly hard and wear out a set in about 3 to 4k miles edge to edge. just curious about the pp2ct's
