Default Do I need my head examined?

Today I without my wife's blessing put a deposit down on a leftover '02
Aprilia Milleis Factory R with 0 mileage. It comes with a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty and yes it will replace my beloved RC51. The deal was super sweet and the bike comes with front and rear Ohlins, Ohlins steering dampner, slipper clutch and Oz wheels.
So if everything goes as planned you will see a list of goodies for sale.
I know the Aprilia franchise leaves a lot to be desired but feel good knowing that the dealer whose selling me the bike has been around for
20+ years and the owner is commited to the product.
Do I need my head examined or what?

I met you and yeah you need to seek some help. For example look at the help you got here and then gander into the rhelm of the unknown that is the Aprilia forums. See any differance? Yeah we actually exsist!!! (Ok OK on Zilla) Rethink your choice and don't be sucked in by the pretty add-ons. If your set on a different bike (twin) I would say go to Ducati. You can get some decent deals on the 999's.

Milleis are good bikes. If you can tollorate the Italian "We on-a Holiday, so you needa to wait for part....yes?" lifestyle, then so be it.

Enjoy. Ride safe and enjoy another version of the twin.

This is sooooo true,, My buddy needed to get a plastic valve for his Ducati's fuel system. He had to wait a month for all the Italians to get back from vacation. Make sure you don't need to order parts in the month of August, the whole country shuts down (I've seen it 1st hand)...

Probably one of the best motorcycle forums on the planet is....

ApriliaForum sponsored by AF1 Racing, inc. - Powered by vBulletin

Your 02 is damn near bulletproof.

Congrats on a great bike - Japanese/BMW reliability and Italian style.

My theory is if we dont explore the possibilities of a new venture of motorcycles.. we would have never stumbled upon the Rc Phenomenon..

If i were you i would take the deal if the numbers were in your favor.. I think the aprilla rsv-r can be a bike that can provide satisfaction....

..more satisfaction then the RC????.. we will soon find out from you!

I got rid of my 04 RSV-R to get the RC, with a ZX-10 in between, because of the problems I had and lack of service and parts. Goodluck, the 02 should be more reliable. I would just get Ohlins from Dan Kyle, a penske, triple clicker and some PVM or Marchenisi wheels and call it a day for the RC. In fact, thats what I intend to do. I have washed my hands of Italian bikes.
