On that note I saw a Harley bagger in pieces at the foot of the mountain on WV 33 yesterday. When we passed by about 5 cars had stopped and things looked pretty bad. Both rider and passenger were laying in the street motionless and the peolple there had a sheet to do one of two things, block the onlooking cars view and block the sun from further cooking the downed riders. We could see the riders had been wearing shorts and tank tops, I don't think it was fatal but I do think they were pretty chewed up. I couldn't stop with my youngins and as stated they had five or so people already helping so we just cleared the area. Heading out some ten minutes later the EMS vehicles passed us. So those two riders were down for some time waiting for assistance.
The dumbest thing of the entire event was a BMW dual sport was behind us by 2 cars and we were behind another Harley when the EMS approached. The dual sport passed all of us on a double line over a blind rise. He was clear from the pass by more then 15 feet when the ambo came over the rise. He almost ate it which would have stopped the EMS from getting to the first accident. was he thinkin after just seeing the carnage?

And to think the BMW guys "tend" to stay on the conservative side.

Its stupid crap like this that will cause us to loose great roads. For example look what happened to 211. Had he hit that ambo 33 would have met the same fate (out of service).

I think one of the saving graces of 33 is the distance from D.C., most entry level squid doesn't want to ride that far.. now 211 was just inside that distance.

33 is a great road but I would love to give 211 one more good run some day.

Not to play "Top this", but we had a guy over the weekend, yank a wheelie at 100+ miles an hour, and ended up treating someone to Life Insurance benefits.

I have no idea what some people are thinking sometimes......

Another fine example of the people that represent the sport of motorcycling.

Lets just say 211 is like going in the woods on the first day of rifle season with a fur hooded brown parka and some novety antlers on.
