I saw that... seems like another good reason to ride the track and get the hell out of that state. I got a reckless and 20 over while I lived there. Cop let me go with only 1 of the 3 tickets I should've gotten though (no inspection sticker)

They call it the Commonwealth of Virginia; I call it Communistwealth of Virgina instead.

It's already started. I was coming over the 14th Street Bridge into looping around the Pentagon and going to take the Roslyn Bridge into G-Town.

Not one, but two people pulled over. Both had VA plates, so as you can imagine there focusing on making the big bucks.

I couldn't wait to get my ass on the "safe" side of Potomac.

The "scam" they're using is calling the obsessive fine a "License Registration Fee" for VA drives.

Dayum... that's some crazy fines!! Guess I'm glad I'm moving to GA and not VA! LOL Down here in south Florida, you get run over if you're not doing at least 20 over. On my daily morning commute, the 'common' speed is usually 90-100 mph going up the turnpike

Contact your local County representative and complain. That’s what I did. That is the only way to have your voice heard!

Well im moving to VA in the beginning of august from CA. I guess Im going to have to keep my Ca plates and pay the extra registration costs of cali here so I dont have to worry about the laws. Out of state drivers are exempt from the civil part of the fines.

Not sure if VA has the same law, but in PA (another fine commonwealth) if you're in the state for 30+ days with your motor vehicle, you're required to obtain PA State Inspection.....

Any way to make a buck, sometimes.

I think because of the fact that I am military I am exempt from laws like that. besides if I can get the bike registered in Ca I should be able to get it to pass anywhere considering all of our ****ed up laws.

NJ is the same, I cant recall if its 14 or 30 days tho.

I predict major increase in home sales in the near future, what a BS way to generate $$$.
