Exclamation need tank stripped and primed..where go i ?

i have purchased a 2nd tank for my 00 rc and the ass that painted it .. well i need it stripped and primed. painted if i can get a good price .
I LIVE IN CENTRAL NEW JERSEY and will go anywhere that would do a good job and not beat me over the head on price.

i can always paint later.. i just want to ride.

Do you have a friend with an air compressor? If so, just borrow a DA (dual action sander) and use 80 grit sand paper. That will strip the paint off fairly quickly and then you just go back over it with 180 or 220 grit to smooth it out. That will save you a bunch as that's most of the labor involved. Then just call body shops near you to find one that will primer it for you. I know that here most shops will not touch bike parts but you can often find them willing to do a quick primer job like that for $75 or less.

Since the tank is metal, go to Walmart and pick up some "Aircraft Remover." It is a spray can with a stripper in it. Make sure that you wear gloves and spray in a place where over spray will not hurt anything. After you pray, the paint will bubble up and you can wipe it off with a rag. You can then sand the remaining paint off allot easier. Priming should be easy from there.
