Default Went 165 today

... miles on a tank of gas, that is.

Bike took exacly 4 gallons of gas when I filled up.
That means there was .75 gallons left.

Been averaging 41 - 43 mpg.

I always got 125-130 miles on 3.5 gallons. Of course, I do ride pretty gentle too. I realized today that I just ran another trackday on the same rear Pilot Power tire that I did my first trackday on with my RC on May 22nd '05. That tire's got close to 11,000 miles on it and still going. Although the center is getting a bit worn.

Wow, mine ran dry and died on me 10 yards from the gas station last week. 122.8 miles on the trip counter.

90-95 miles before my light comes on. I'd have to be REALLY creative with my speedo healer to get 165 miles from a tank!

I'm not even going to get into mpg-I just turned 26mpg today. How the hell are you getting 11k out of a rear tire? Are you coating the carcass in Shoe Goo or something? You have 2 trackdays and 11k on a rear Pilot Power?? You've had a few retreads on the same carcass, right? I have to throw the bullshit flag. That's not even possible!

I got the most... but as of now, I have a Speedohealer installed... Sooooooo, I guess that record was not as acurate as it should have been.

I installed my 15/41 520 a week ago and some new Road Attacks. Installed the Speedohealer as well.
I had my fill up yesterday... netted 148mi on all freeway driving.

Did you start at the top of Mt Evans and coast all the way? That is some amazing gas milage for an RC. Maybe your throttle does not go full throttle.....LOL

Call BS all you want, but it's true. And I actually ahve 4 trackdays on that rear tire. Although the 4th was only 1 1/2 sessions. The last couple thousand miles were put on the tire using my Gixxer 600. I've had my RC set up as my race bike for over a year now and the Pilot Power I'm running is the one I took off my RC to put race tires on it. I'm just super gentle on my bikes. The only reason the front isn't still good is because I got lazy and didn't check my tire pressure for over a month and ran with a low tire and cause some pretty bad cupping. My last set of Dunlop 208s I ran on my Gixxer 600, I got 18,000 rear/23,000 front. I've put 42,000 miles on my gixxer in about 4 years and only replaced the tires on it 2 times. I put 17,000 street miles on my RC51 before I turned it into my race bike, and I only bought 1 set of tires while it was a street bike. And like I said, I'm STILL running that last rear that I bought over 1 1/2 years ago, and that's a tire that get's run nearly every day. I commute on my bike about 52 miles every day. I don't ride the twisties much on the weekends but when I do I pretty much just poke around with my son on the back. Derek can vouch for the fact that I don't lay out bullshit. I'm just a freak of nature when it comes to tires. Although, I can't get a damn Vortex sprocket to last yet.

I've thought about trying them. But I've had such amazing results with the Pilot Powers that it's hard to justify trying anything else.

Well sounds to me like you are underusing the bike to the point that you could mount knobbies on it and get the same "performance"

I have been around riders that never ever hit the power band and run around corners straight up and down, In fact I get a huge kick out of ripping around the outside of them going into a down hill decreasing radius corner with my wife on the back while riding my GOLDWING

People that are proud of the fact that they don't open the throttle, or put any heat into a tire, I dunno??? I just don't ****ing get it
