Default Harris/Ohlins steering damper mount on sale!

If anyone is interested... I found 3 Harris/Ohlins steering damper mounts (2 SP-2, 1 SP-1) in stock here for $200 with fairing stay on sale. You can get an Ohlins damper with it for $284 more. I just bought a mounting kit so there is 1 of each remaining if they updated today!

Good looking out.

I'd be on my tip toes when dealing with these guys. They are nearly impossible to deal with even if your transaction goes well. God forbid there be an issue with the item or order.

Is this hearsay or from personal experience?

Out of stock but they sent me this:

Hi Terry,

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

We are out of the Ohlins kit for the SP2, and we can’t get any more. Harris offers a kit with the Gubellini damper with black or red mounting hardware, they don’t offer gold and are out of polished (check the Tucker Rocky link on our website and it is on pg. 301). We can offer that kit for $540.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

Thanks,

Jeff

Yeah man.....I have been trying like hell to get a piston top mount style (916 like) for my SP2...There isnt any. I tried to find the Harris/Gubelini, but the fairing stay is 'out of stock' the damper itself is availalbe as it is universal for all bikes, but the RC51 specific parts are made of unobtainum...it seems.

So, screw it...I just went with the Scotts rotary...its made by Ohlins, says Ohlins right on it...

I was really hoping that the stock level indicated in the add was correct! Dammit! Guess I'll either go with a scotts or I'll have to get creative and "adapt" an Ohlins from something else.

I saw a used setup on eBay like 3 months ago...I set my alarm clock to wake me up in time (auction ended @ 3am) I made sure I didnt drink more than 10 beers, and had the auction on my watch list on My eBay.....

I SLEPT THROUGH IT!!!!

It sold for $220.....

My initial interest in the Ohlins piston style was purely looks (my squidleyness)....

The Scotts damper has WAY more adjustment, is made by Ohlins, and reportedly works great. There is no need for a new fairing stay, like there is with the GPR and all piston style dampers. Oh...and Scott (CBR400RR) sells them for a mere $400.

Seeing I own EMA-USA I would be interested in hearing the specific details of any problems Varium has had with my employees. I do not handle the phones so I do not hear everything that goes on. If anyone has any questions or complaints about EMA-USA just send me an Email and I will look into it.

When I called the other day, your employee was very nice and accomidating. Your website however, needs to be updated on a regular basis if you choose to show # of items in stock.....just a thought.

Yes I do understand about the website. We try to keep the clearance pages updated but it is a never ending battle. Unfortunitly I do not have the time to check every sale everyday. My employees are suppossed to keep track of what is sold off the clearance pages and let me know, well that is a nice dream.......but we will keep trying to keep up.
