Default Bar end mirrors...your thoughts

Im currently rebuilding and doing body work on my RC and am looking at things to make it stand out a little. one thing would be bar end mirrors. anyone have any input on your experience. also if anyone has pics that would be cool as well. now dont think that im trying to squid it out or anything, just trying to make it MY bike, ya know. any input would be greatly appericated.

I'd like to get rid of my elbow checkers and get some barends also. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Stockers are almost worthless do to my size.

ive heard that you can see a LOT more when the bar ends.....espically if you wanna see the hot chick in the car next to you, all you have to do is turn your wheel a little.

I like the no mirror look as well. the upper looks really clean with some block off plates painted to match. i know that in CO you have to have atleast a left mirror. i may just buy one(cheaper) and see how i like it.

Am I the only one who thinks stock mirrors look better?

I can't see a bike with blockoff plates and not be hungry for things like squid on a stick, or sushi... yummm food....

Bar end mirrors take up too much room between cars when lane splitting. I'll keep both my stockers.

Can't lane split with bar end mirrors. Plus the stock mirrors are more aerodynamic than the bar end ones . Therefore, they make you faster

I think the fiddy has some of the best lookin stock mirrors of any bike... I'm not a fan of bar end mirrors, I think people don't like the stockers because of the stigma associated with being "stock." Oh yeah, I barely see my elbows Sometimes it pays to be small! I'm stayin with what the factory gave me...

Edit: I ride with a guy who has NO mirrors... Dee Dee Deeeee...
Mirrors have saved my ass a few times because I saw the jackass who has on my bumper (tail?) and about to change lanes WAY to close... Gave me a chance to move over and let him by!

And just FYI, there is a reason things like the stock mirrors and turn signals are stamped "DOT" and most of the aftermarket stuff isn't. Just like tires need to be DOT approved to run on the street.

Just be aware of what's legit and what's not, in case you run into some static from the man. Most cops see things like bar mirrors and little bitty turn signals and don't give it another thought, a few know what's legal and what ain't....

No honey, those are the stock pipes, I just cleaned them up, they were always loud...and those wheels are stock, just spray painted with some new stuff that has a carbon fiber look finish.

Bar end mirrors look good on naked bike, like a Monster, but I think the stock mirrors look WAAAAYYYYY better on the RC51...
