I know there is a lot of Virginia West Virginia guys here so maybe you can help me out. Have a couple friends planning a 3 day road trip to these two fine states. Just wondering if you could give some insight on some good roads to ride, roads to stay away from, motorcycle friendly towns, touristy attrctions, must stop and eat here, etc.
Hey man. The best sections of road in WVA is if you can start on the east side on route 33 in Harrisburg, VA cross over the moutains on 33 into WVA, and do this run several times b/c it is great. Then at the bottom of the hill at the light, turn right and Foxes pizza will be on the left about a 100 yards up that road. The sandwhichs are awesome there. Then continue on all the roads towards Seneca Rocks, like 220, 55, 50 or however you want to get there, but most of those roads that you take after Route 33 are a lot of fun. The only problem with WVA roads are the coal and logging trucks that cut the inside corners and kick gravel into the apex's of turns, so watch out for that. Remember I got a street bike now, so I could meet you guys for a ride sometime.
Chris, you can make a pretty great route if you head towards summit and turn south. Be sure to hit 220 south most of the way. Thaty also is 55 which has some empty highway sections that you may have seen in posts. However that road is near completion and some others may be a better choice. Once into the heart of WV 33 from Harmon the way to the VA line is a great run. 72 around ELK. Another is 28 following the south bend river.

Sorry Glock....I dont ride on the streets anymore....
I did read somewhere that you were thinking about a new street bike....what did you get??
I live in Pittsburgh and do 99.9% of my riding in WVa. here are some routs that are twistie and relatively smooth. Look on a map. They are listed in random order.
