I believe everyone on this site will tell you Sato Bonzai's.........and they are incredibly loud. And I believe they have tested the best(dyno runs). As long as you dont need to ride two up, Id say get those......wish i had

These are loud (deep controlled tone), not to mention the best looking pipe on the market for the 51. The SATO service after the sale is also the best in the industry.

I would recommend Harris pipes. I have never heard Sato's, but the Harris ones do take the piss. Much louder than the Akra, scorpion, and Yoshi's I have heard.

+100 on Satos... When I warm up the bike in the garage frames shake in the house. Car Alarms don't stand a chance!

And the fit and finish are perfect. You get what you pay for sometimes,, this is one of those times!

Yeah sato's are pretty loud. You will see what I mean when you pull up next to a line of cars and all the alarms go off.

I don't get you guys who go for loud. It is tiring even with earplugs and of course totally antisocial.

Selfish choices that people like you make are slowly but surely helping to make it harder for the rest of us to enjoy our sport.

I dont get you guys that have to ride your motorcycles all over the place. It is uncomfortable, impractical and of course totally dangerous.

LOUD PIPES SAVES LIVES!!! so i guess having my bike heard over a conversation on a cell phone by a soccer mom makes me selfish, well thats fine by me. dont get me rong some people abuse loud pipes, i try not to be a dick i even push my bike down the street so not to bother the people in my complex but when im on the road i want everybody to here me and know i'm there.

No matter what pipe you go with, it is going to be loud, some louder than others but all of them are loud. If soccer mom doesn't see you cause she is distracted by the screaming monsters of evil than I doubt she is paying attention enough to hear you either, no matter how loud the bike is. I like my 2 brothers, not a popular choice here but so far I have not had any quality issues with mine, they are loud, might not be the loudest but to the ear its hard to tell loud from louder.

ummm... nope.

rolled up windows, big mac and fries, doing make-up, half asleep, music turned up, in a rush, personal problems, distracted,

at the end of the day, any clued in driver will see you if they want to see you. That's it. Loud pipes, minor distraction with all the other city noise.

Tell me what get's more attention, an open pipe harley coming down one way, or a lovely bouncing breast hot blonde coming down the other?

This is a myth there is no proof that loud pipes save lives. People paying attention to what goes on around them saves lives not pipes. If someone is distracted your pipes are not going to wake them up especially with the windows up, ac on and radio playing add a cell phone or conversation with a passenger to the mix and your pipes mean nothing. If you want the loudest pipes possible just have some exhaust place make you a custom set of straight pipes and piss off all your neighbors and motorists that do pay attention or just hack off your stock cans. Any pipes with a twin are going to be loud enough IMO.

What really saves lives is proper riding skills, knowing where to position yourself on the road, knowing to look at the drivers head and make quick decisions on the road, etc. (Motorcyclist magazine has articles on street riding monthly). Not loud pipes. Pipes can also be heard loudest from behind the bike - when you already passed the car/suv or the threat to your life - not from the front, when your comming towards the car/suv or threat to your life
