Default Almost a probem with the RC

i was riding home form work tonight and i noticed the bike woudl jerk everyonce in a while racking my nuts.... annoying as hell. but every time it did it the FI light would flash. first thought was Damn my injectors are going thats more then i have money to fix. but i figured il limp it home and work on it tomarrow... that was untill it died completely i bring it to the side of the road turn it off and turn it one and it starts then everythign goes black. im like F*** so i start to think abotu it it turns out the battery cable was undone, i guess i didn't tighten it all the way before and now it came all the way off and was turning the bike off when it disconnected.

i was so happy to get it fixed there on the side of the road, but my nuts r a little sore right now. but better then dropping $400 for new injectors right?

I had a similar problem on the track once. ended up being the + side battery conector was broken.

That was your bikes way of sayin "Hey Asshat hows your nuts feel?" "Mine are kinda loose."

Glad you got it figured out because being stuck with a broke bike sucks. Leaving it to get help sucks more.

Same thing happened to me a few days ago... knew it was the battery right away but I didnt have any tools on me. Stopped to get gas, turned ignition off, then it wouldnt come on. I kicked the tail section and presto, she comes back on

Im gonna check it again before my next ride... I guess all those vibrations jiggle them loose.

the only reason i thought it was injectors is because it was doing it a little before then got worse as injectors woudl go, but i did think that all four shouldn't go out at once but thought oh well.

When it finally stopped first thing that popped into my head was "WTF happened to Honda reliablility" then i felt stupid for have it be a battery cable.

Another battery cable victim! Don't feel bad. My cable actually BROKE at the positive battery terminal. Luckily I was riding with my father who morphed into his "Super Dad" role. You all know what that means. That shining moment when a father attempts to bewilder and amaze his offspring with his seemingly fathomless mechanical improvisation. A quick trip to a local Autozone netted him all the ingredients nesassary to secure his place in the "roadside alchmist" hall of fame. Finally, as any self respecting dad in his mechanically induced sence of euphoria would do, he smoked my ass on the toll way. Nothing like having your dad give you a rodeside clinic on the various uses of heavy guage speaker wire, vicegrips, needlenose pliers, and five different brass battery fittings.
