Ive seen some that read VTR1000SP1, some read otherwise..

here's mine
does anyone elses read SPY???

Yup, mine reads SP-Y. Mines a 2000 bike.

They do their numbering that way... The Fireblades are the same way. RRY, etc...

The SPY designation actually refers to the fact that your bike is a POS Kawasaki. They disguised your bike as a Honda and slipped it into the manufacturing plant to see how REAL bikes were made.

At the risk of starting another row (see thread SP3...) bikes in the uk are badged SP1 or SP2, and called VTR's not RVT's. Same thing, different colours and accent!
