Where can I get this helmet?

Ok, I have recently gotten into watching the races, and have just started watching WSB. In Sundays WSS race I noticed a cat (charpentier) sporting a General Lee helmet. THIS CRACKA WANTS 01 (one). Where can I find one? I checked the SHoei site with no luck. Is it available overseas? I have always been an Arai guy, and never muched liked the SHoei, but that is one bad mutha helmet.

that is a nice lid. he used to have a patch of the flag on his arse. i am abit confused why a frenchy would carry the confederate battle flag on his helmet. i assume shoei has them for sale some where. i just wish they fit my melon head.

well, its not exactly the confederate flag. It should be stars in a strip on a red background. So, having the orange and 01 makes it more PC I suppose. But it still doesnt make since to me either.

A few years back (2003 I believe) Eric Bostrom rode Laguna Seca as the General E. Confederate leathers and all. If I remember correctly, the front of the suit was white ala "Boss Hog".

not all helmets you see racers wear are sold by the manufacturers. Most of the time, the racers w/o the big contracts will get their helmet's custom painted.One such firm is http://www.offbeatprod.com/ Which painted Nicky Hayden's helmet before he got an official one from Arai.

THAT HELMET IS SOLD. It is Charponte(sp)pronounced(shar pont E A). He is the reigning world supersport champion. He is French, rides for Ten Kate Honda and is a huge dukes of hazard fan.You will probably have to get it from a European supplier though. Last I knew it was not sold in the US.
