ok so street fighter might have been the wrong term. My point is it's not stock and it kicks ass.... and of course there's the sound..

Dude...what a wierd combo...how funny seeing those 2 together!
Being that I just purchased one of those bikes in the pic and was real close to purchasing the other.
I ended up going with the RC(an o5 that is a twin to that pipes/ect.) of corse

and the one I barely passed on was this 748R..

being that my previous and first
bike was a Monster, i was gonna keep it ducati...but am ever glad i didn't.

The bikes are fun to ride together. We headed to Manhattan that day and met up with another friend that rides a BMW GS. Fun times!

A couple of guys I used to ride with had Ducati's. One a tricked out 748 and the other a 996. On the rare occasion that we would switch bikes and try a road or two on each other's bike, it was always hard to get them to give my RC back. Yeah the ducati's rode like a dream, but they wouldn't shut up about my RC51. "It turns easier, holds a line better, feels lighter, feels like it has more power everywhere, and brakes better." This was always followed by "and it costs half as much as my Ducati."

Feedback like that makes me happy about my decision to go with the RC and keeps me from salivating too much when I see a Ducati.

I have owned a Duc 916 - which unfortunately got stolen from the shop - BASTIDS !!!! Anyway, I find the RC more comfortable for dual duties - street vs. track. The Duc was best as a track bike, and for mucho aggresive canyon carving.

The Duc, had a little more soul than the RC, but that is of course my perception.

That's why I bought a 750 Monster for the street!
It's no where near the bike my '03 track/racebike , but it satisfies the Italian envy.
