Cool thx,
My take,
Cons:
The replay is crap compared to the rich, full featured Superbike 2001 replay system.
The Bikes are all the same, when you pick a bike all A.I. bikes are that bike.
No multiplayer... that sucks. Not even LAN without a stupid split screen.
The cockpits are less detail than SBK2001
The menus are so counter intuitive, it's hard to understand such a poorly laid out jumble of options
No setups!!!
Limited multiple Jstick options, Not able to use my Momo gas/brake pedals
Vision around really sharp corners is cut off(in cockpitmode)
The physics rendering makes other sims like SBK2001, MotoGP, SuzukiTTSB(isle of Man) and Tourist Trophy seem like arcade games.
Pros:
The framerates are fantastic with the ATI X800. PC Version
The tracks look sweet, if you have a bitchin VidCard you're set.
Simply, an amazing physics engine.
Loads fast
Rider lean is now infinite adjust! NOt like the up/down in Tourist Trophy or SBK2001
Sound is pretty good
The more you play it, the more you appreciate it.
Tips: Change bikes for any challenge you are having trouble with. Some AI works better than others on different tracks.
Lose the traction help, brake help and auto rider movement. I advise using brake pairing because brakes
are not good when they're on a button.
Use full screen with the cockpit in front of you, way harder but way more realistic.
I find that often, my knee wants to drop.
It took 19.5 hours over five weeks of gametime, on manual everything, to complete gold in this game.
+ a coupla hours for resets.
I use PS 2 type controller on my PC
Left Jstick up/down = rider lean left/right = steering
Right Jstick up/down = gas UP= Brakes Down(paired)
A decent review:

Overall, the game gets a 8 except for the physics engine which gets: a 10!
