Default TiVo or DVD's of the season so far?

Hi All - before I dash out to the main site I'm wondering if anyone in MN has made and save copies of the motorcycle racing for this season. I've deleted about half of the season off of my TIVO to make room and what I have left is recorded in basic quality. Well I finally picked up a DVD Recorded so I can begin archiving. I'm looking for anyone who might have already burned DVD Copies of the races or have HIGH quality TiVo recordings of the races (mostly looking for MotoGP, especially Laguna Seca). If so drop me a IM or email. Maybe we can turn this into a viewing/burning party! (It's very easy to burn off of TiVo to the DVD Recorder).

I dont have much on Tivo - but have copies of all the MotoGP races from the net. not the quality you're looking for.

With Tivo DVD recording - what's needed? Is it a new Tivo unit, or an add-on? Can you skip the middle man & go directly to PC?

Someone should start a MC vid file sharing site - like the torrent type sites. I'd love to have races from way back saved to the PC. I've heard of 'network' parties or some such - basically you bring in a HD with your *avi files & share with others. That'd be cool too with a MC theme.

All you need is a VCR or DVD recorder. I use SVHS between the Tivo and the Recorder for the picture and patch cables for audio. When you record a show you simply need to go to "Save to VCR". You get a 10 second intro (time for you to hit the record button). Since media is cheap I just record the whole thing including commercials but you could pause the DVD recorder if you wanted to sit down and edit everything. I might simply start recording on DVD as well.. Going to try this this weekend. TiVo is nice since it's so automagical.

I'll have to give it a shot this weekend. I just got Tivo & love it. I also have to run a second cable from the dish - only have 1 now so I can't record one show & watch another (much to my wife's dismay!). When you burn to DVD what kind of files are they?

Just a standard DVD file. Plays in any player..
