Default Whats your favorite local riding area????

Here are just a few I found recently. Just found a real fun road near my cabin cty rd 84 near longville mn. Also just hit cr-7 in welch mn. Both are real curvy. Both have good newer tar. The one near longville has banked corners even and is somewhat seneic. The welch run is hilly and has canyons and valleys etc. I would say they are both like 20-40 miles long each. Ask any questions and post anything in mn and wi. Feel free to post maps, pics, videos, details on traffic and terrain. Thanks

I have gone to almost riding gravel roads exclusively now. But highway 60 from Zumbro Falls to Wabasha is fun. The road that goes from highway 63 to Millville is fun too. Otherwise riding the alphabet roads in southwest Wisconsin is great fun.

The best roads that I have come across are in SE MN & SW WI.

The La Crosse area has amazing roads.

Out around Ontario WI is some really fun roads, though I have run across some with 45 MPH speed limits which makes no sense out in the middle of nowhere. Just watch out for the Amish buggies on the road and horseshit in the middle of corners.

95 running from 35 to Arcadia WI is a nice ride also, stop by Hansen's Hold-Up for a bite to eat.

SE MN along with SW WI. I usually run "Alphabet Soup". AA, BB, CC, etc. Some of the cow towns have very nice stuff but not kept up. I agree with Dave, LaCross area is simply fanastic. We should do a full leather run someday before the snow flies.

There is Hwy 35 on each side of the river MN & Wi. Very scenic ride and nice and twisty. Not real technical, but lots of fast sweepers. Ontario and Muscoda WI have some fantastic tight technical roads. Closer to home are the "Southern Kettles" Kettle Moraine roads. I'm smak in the middle of some of the best roads that SE WI has to offer.

I know by now its a little to late AND COLD but here are some of my favorites. for SE MN Hwy 60 from Mazeppa, mn to Wasbasha, mn, really some tight corners. County rd 25 from Elba,mn to Plainview,mn, really fast sweepers. Cty rd 76 from Houston,mn to caledonia,mn bever creek run has very tight corners. 44 in winona, leading up from lake winona to garvin height, smooth tight pavement, but only for 2 or so miles For SW WI 95 from Fountain City, wi to Arcadia, WI has fast sweepers and tigh corners. E from alma,wi to cream,wi nice tight corners to but it is typical WI road halfway to cream and gets a little rough. I also heard that coon valley east of la crosse is nice have not been over that way yet. i agree with all you can't go wrong with a SW WI road.
