Default It's almost May, and in Indy that means one thing!

I usually make one or two practice/qualifying days at the Speedway. Anybody else planning on going, checking out the little airplanes with wheels screaming around the track? I usually ride so as to take advantage of the great bike parking. I know a couple people that ride Harleys, so we tuck a cooler (14" and under!) or two into someone's saddlebags and fill it with beer and snacks, park ourselves in the grandstands along the main straight, and enjoy the scenery.

So who's up for it?

Count me in. I'm there just about everyday the cars run. Indy, F1, even Nascar. The sights are definately worth the trip.....plus a car sreaming around at 225 mph is pretty cool also. That first turn bike lot is like a small bike show. There is much more of a buzz around now that the merger has happened. 2 weeks from today....I think!!! Let me know...Bill

I have to figure out what day(s) I can play hooky from work. A friend usually comes down from Chicago on Carb Day, so that's a given.

A few of us are riding out to Putnam park Sun (5-4) to watch a Nesba trackday. Then probably by the Speedway for opening day. Usually leave about 7-8am. We start out from Greenfield, go south thru Shelbyville, Franklin, Martinsville, around Hwy 39 thru Cloverdale to Mt Meridian (Putnam) Nesba has free admission. Supposed to be sunny and 65. Post up...
