Wow, cool bike. I just ran into a person selling a Millie R Factory with all the extras for a steal. At 600 miles he added on everything from the Aprilia catalog and now the bike scares him.. I think I need another bike in my stable..

Looks like my 999 is a total lost. Bent swing arm and steering head. The insurance guy is cool but will only cover 1000 of accessories (leathers, helmet, etc). Anything more would have required a rider (bike was stock). So here is my short list of new machines:

2006 999S
2006 749R
2006 MV F4

The 749R is really getting my interest lately.. Very under rated bike..Everyone keeps saying "Its only 121hp - with a termi system low 130s". That's MORE than my 04 999 had and my CBR929RR (one of my most favorite bikes). Shees...what's this world coming too?

150 ponies makes for very a smooth ride, my friends '06 CBR1000 makes me feel like I weigh 20 pounds.
But I'm a pretty big guy for sport bike riding, I need a lot of ponies to get my fat ass around

I'm 225lbs currently and usually hit around 205 to 210 in the summer. Being 6'3" is big for today's sportbikes..

I'm thinking of a 749R with a full termi system but I'm having many friends trying to talk me out of a bike period..

Hey, R60us, I've got an '03 749S. How about if I take a picture of the shifter and send it your way (you mentioned wanting to straighten yours out)?

It sounds like you need to hang out with different people.

I'm finding it harder and harder to find riding buddies. Everyone is married and it's impossible to get together and do something..

I'm torn.. Should I get a 749R or get the Gixxer 750 or 1000? Only thing scaring me about the duc is the price..

Lot's of riding buddies in the Dual Sport world. Did a 1200 mile trip to the U.P. this weekend.

Plus, there's less damage when you fall down!
