At least he enjoys his job. I hope he's remembered as one of the greats, not some old dude who couldn't let go...

I have a GB #4 and a Favre "Titans of New York" color scheme jersey, but I can't bring myself to wear the purple.

Phuck Brett. What a sissy name.

I'm a niner fan (little "n" intended, nowadays), so you get where I'm coming from. Favre was a gamer like few others. Too bad he played for the Buttpackers. Advice for Brett: your days are over - get over it - move on to car dealerships...like all you guys do.

Yeh okay loser, I'd like to see you say that to his face, you're such an internet dooshrocket, he has always been a class act and one of the best QB's the game has seen....

oh and IQ 51 isn't the BUTTPACKERS the team you like to play with?

Hopefully he don't play too much. Didn't he play the Jets out of a playoff spot and play the head coach out of a job last year?

The Vikings team overall is quite a bit better than the Jets were last year. So Favre comes into a team used to winning most games in the regular season, unlike the Jets who aside from Namath wagging his finger 40 years ago, have always sucked.

All Favre has to do is hand off to Peterson (barring injury your MVP this year), and be a threat to throw a few bombs downfield to spread out the offense. This is probably the best team Favre has been on since the Superbowl years of the Packers in the mid-90's.

When he feels that he has to carry the team is when the gunslinger in him comes out and the oppositions secondary starts getting INT's. If the Vikings can remain a solid team he will play well.

I know, I know... and his arm is supposed to be better now, and the Vikings have good QB depth so he doesn't have to play every snap. But, damn, these last few retirements have been annoying. Really, really annoying!

The best part of all of this is the slap in the face he's giving the Plunkers. Arch rivals and his legacy lies within the confines of Lambo Field, he could have played for any team, but chose the Vikes!

I too agree though, his old ass needs to retire, or not, or yes, or not, or...or...uh..., but maybe he needs the $$?
