Default Considering 98 w/37.5K Miles. Worth it? Value?

I have an opportunity to purchase a 98 vtr superhawk with 37,500 miles from a riding buddy. Its been well taken care of aside from a trackday mishap.

Her dad crashed it on the track but its since been repaired. (side case cover is brand new as a result) Subframe is slightly out of whack but hard to tell unless you look really closely. Cracks and scratches on upper right fairing. Dented and scratched right side can. And I believe the CCT's need replacing with the APE's. Oh yeah, it also has the infamous stalling issues at lights now and then.

All stock aside from rebuilt racetech suspension. This suspension is dialed. I've ridden the bike on a few occasions and it handles amazingly well for what it is.

Any other issues I should look out for? What would be a fair price for this bike? She has no idea and I dont want to pay too much. Or too little. How long do these motors last? 37.5K is a lot!

I have 60,000 miles on mine, the only issue was an R/R. I would not pay much more than $1,500 for that bike.

I bought my '98 with 21k on the odometer for $4k with a few aftermarket mods. As FasterIWuz wrote I wouldn't pay over $1500. From what you wrote it appears that bike has been flogged pretty good.
