Default Another potential buyer

Hey all, newbie here. I'm looking for a bike that would work well to make short trips around town on. I can get a new one (03')for $5400 plus tax so great deal for sure. I know the motor will be great but how's the milage and what's it like to start up cold and go? Havn't had a carbed bike in some time now.

Thanks

Buy it. It's a great bike. Mine is (sadly) still a stock '05. Not a big deal to start when cold, although cold here in NM is usually 20's at worst. Mine will stall if I don't hold the throttle to keep it idling at 1500 until the temp gets to 100 degrees. The choke is fine for about thirty seconds, then it starts to bog down for some reason and I close the choke and hold the throttle. No biggie. After that, no problems at all.

As for mileage I get around 120 to 130 miles per tank at a medium pace. Can't really open it up around town here very often...large population of IDIOTS to watch for, but when all is clear the Superhawk kicks ass. I love it and for $5300 you'd be crazy not to!
