Draining Tank On VTR1000

Hi I am going to be shipping my bike from NC any advise on the best way to drain the fuel tank (no manuel at this time) Thanks Rob

Start the bike. While running, clamp off the vacuum tube going to the petcock and the fuel line. Stop the bike. Disconnect the fuel line at the carb. Unclamp and let drain.

Which doesn't take long, about 70 or 80 miles should do if it's full
