Default White Repsol bodywork

Does anyone have any photos of a white repsol fitted to an RC51 until I see one fitted I'm a bit apprehensive about pulling the plug and getting it, I only have the photo's from the supplier, see below.

In the past 22yrs of riding and the past 3 on an RC51, I have never seen a bike with these graphics, I like these more than the orange/black, their just different.

Do a good job painting the tank to match, and I think it would look pretty good.

I never saw why people like to have bodywork painted in a livery that the RC was never raced in. I think the Repsol ones look the worst.

I do like the AMA superbike version when they had the Jurassic park shit on them.

You know you can't say everyone had one of those replicas!

I'd be more worried about the quality of the fairings. Google the manufactures name, they have lots of quality issues.

I agree, the repsol looks rediculous. Might as well paint "I'm a poser" on the side.

The exception to that is the RC51's that have been painted like the RC30's. This doesn't look too poserish, mainly because it doesn't have tons of sponsor stickers on it.

I really like the Repsol look for a track bike, but with a matching tank the white is still a sweet look for the street.

Hell they stoped making our bike years ago. And 99% of us are not being paid to race. So if you like em buy em. I kinda like the look. So sick of the stock stuff I could vomit. Just my

I think it looks pretty sweet! It not like most replicas out there. Plus I've always thought white bikes look nice.

The repsol look is not for me. I used to have a 91 NC30. I like those colors. That would be different.

Default don't

Don't buy these fairings! I tried to fit a set on my RC5 SP1 -- headlight mounts all cracked, tail fit poorly, didn't even try to fit the side fairings. This stuff is junk, period. It's sitting in the rafters of my garage. I'm resurrecting the OEM fairings, getting them painted Joey Dunlop red. Good karma, brother, learn from my mistake. Yes, they were the auctmarts brand.

Enough Said...Now I would not touch them.

Mine are chinky fairings and fit very well, no issues but took a little bit of jiggy but nothing major.

As for the original post. I did look at those and thought they looked nice, didnt want the single seat pod though. I almost orgasmed when I first saw them, I thought they were a 88 RC30 rep like the one posted above.

DynaMight,

Who did you buy your plastics from? Was it the same vendor as riversbikes?

I bought from these guys: eBay Store - FAIRINGONLINE: Antenna, Air Scoop, 2007-2008 They dont seem to have any on there atm but it is their Chinese New Year so maybe havent posted anything new.

Communication was good, the plastic bit with went underneath the headlights didnt fit very well but they sent another free of charge which fitted fine.

Default Your results may Vary....

As per the title -- a post here showed some auctmarts fairings fitting quite well to an SP2, only the paint didn't line up on the tank -- its a risk, you can get good stuff or bad. Essentially I had over 500 bones sunk into these. They are not destroyed, by any means -- some epoxy or jb weld could fix the headlight mount, and the side panels are unmounted, like new. Just to get the f-ers out of the garage I'd let them go for.... $?? plus shipping.

A braided rear brake line for the rc51 plus shipping.
A spare magura brake master cylinder lever (radial) plus shipping.
A set of 250 cc slicks (take offs, even) plus shipping.
A spare 320mm ducati front rotor (just 1, floating) plus shipping
A late-model RS125 race tail plus shipping...
