Default Gentlemen, start your flame throwers!!

So i picked up my new to me 00 RC51 and am now converting back to a clothed pig as apposed to the mad max version. I've got QB body work on the way. Straight subframe already installed. But man o man do I have a load of work ahead. But hey its mine, its payed for! I'll keep updating as parts are accumulated. Needed: non gold-plated snorkel, fairing stay, db windscreen, headlights....you get idea. oh, and flame away!

Someone should go to jail for building that rear end.

How does that thing breath with that huge light blocking the intake?

Granted it's a legendary superbike no more , but I don't mind the look , or at least the concept . Perhaps if the rads were black too , and the central light replaced with LEDs on the sides . Cleaned up it would be fun .

Umm, she looks like she breathes just fine.

Oh, you're talking about the ugly bike. Naked side-mount rads are just plain dumb. Looks like the fan runs all the time from the circle visible on the outside.

Put some clothing on that thing! Looks like it has potential.

Thanks guys, it should be fun. I gotta sell some of my other toys to play with the big boys (can-am renegade 800). But it'll be worth it. I've already got a subframe mounted up and bodywork coming late march. Next on the list is yanking the wheels and powdercoating them gold w/ new tyres. I've used that thing you guys always rant about..i think it was the search feature...and checked out pics of some of the bikes on here with gold wheels. vedy nice. Its only got 9k on it but i'm sure they were hard miles since the entire bike is safety-wired and silicone for track use. I'll keep everyone posted with pics and updates. Any and all insight, suggestions, and criticism is welcome. Oh and about thin skin...please.

You a diver?

It won't be too bad. You need a seat? Looks like it already has a few bits on it. Clip-ons, rearsets and are those pazzo levers? The longer you have it, the more you get into it.
