Default New 2me 2000 RC51, and new here

Hi all, just wanted to do the intro thing, now that I can. I just rescued a 2000 RC51 for relatively cheap ($3K). Needed a lot of minor TLC, but most of it's done...I need to get the taillight runnin (new undertail eventually), new grips, a good engine cleaning, inner fairing, and replace the speedo (apparently it's a Euro version and won't switch to MPH). Will need to replace the brake lines with steel braided eventually, also.

#1) Congrads & welcome to the Family...

#2) mph to kph and kph to mph.... To switch between these two reads for USA RC51s.... All's you have to do is HOLD down your miles reset button.... after your numbers zero... do NOT let up on the button... keep it depressed alittle longer and the "type" of readings\measurement Should reset to the other.

I Hope this Helps

Peace

Thanks...I appreciate the help, but the first thing I researched was the mph to kph deal. The gauge atleast is a Euro version...it doesn't switch. I've tried from the ODO (as per manual), Trip and Temp screens and held it for atleast 60 sec just to be sure with no luck.

Also, from what I can tell, the VIN and engind numbers are from 2000, but the body work and wheels are from a 2005 (considering the color and 5 spoke wheels). Does that sound about right?
