Great video. That track looks very tight and technical....I'll bet an RC gives you a pretty good workout. That "surprise" probably caught your attention, huh? Are you running a damper? I really like the looking back from the front shot....very cool!!!
It wasnt easy muscling 'Tubby' around the tighter sections but it was fine on the faster parts. I haven't got a steering damper and it did shake me up a little bit! I never actually went WOT on any of the track because I could feel the front 'skipping' over the bumps but I guess I just gave it that little to much that time around.
Next track in 12 days time, its a little bit smoother, faster and flowing so hopefully have more fun, except its got the tighter hairpin in the UK.... So if you hear on the news that theres been an Earthquake in China, it's because I've dropped Tubby

Good stuff!! Nice work, the bike looks really clean. Good on ya for keeping the ole' war pig in shape!
P.S. The "skipping feeling-what do you have done to the forks, what tires are you running and what pressures?
Nice. I just kind of got used to headshakes like that until I had a few really big ones and decided to get a steering damper. I've always thought that good throttle application negates the need for a damper, and I still believe that to a large extent, but do yourself a favor; get one. That would have been controlled very well by a decent damper, and it just allows you to be a little more judicious with the throttle to get better drive out of corners without fear of totally getting yourself into hot water. I have a pretty mediocre Hyperpro that has saved my ass once or twice already.
From the first pic, it looks like you're running a pretty conservative setting on the front fork height but if you drop the front any lower you'll certainly want a damper.
By 'Skipping' I basically mean that the front wheel is skipping/skimming over the bumps due to accelerating and not quite wheeling.
I used Sony Vegas 9 to edit the videos, I havent quite worked it out fully yet but it is easier than Windows Movie Maker at more complex stuff plus it has bundles of formats etc
Forks are through the yokes by 10mm which I believe is standard but I do have a rear shock riser plate by about 16mm I think. Just fitted Dragon Supercorsas too, which are 55 profile, where I had 50's before so thats actually increased the rear height a little bit too.
I am thinking about a steering damper now but I'll see what the next trackday brings on a not so bumpy track... but in just over 3 weeks away I have Cadwell Park (and the mountain) so that might be a test!

Hi dynamight, nice little vid there.could see you picking up the pace as the day progressed and you sussed out where you were going.what date are you at cadwell and who's running it?might see if we can get down for the day,
vince.
The front face stuff is done with an 480line bullet cam which cost about £65 with camera, cables, mic etc. It also needs a device to record the output, I use a cheap SD recorder (the quality would be ALOT better with a proper camcorder but I went for portability) it was about £60 also. Bullet cams have increased in price since the economy shit, they seem to be atleast £90 now. I got mine from Ebay.
The other fancy stuff is done with a Hero GoPro Wide, Its an all in one unit, literally comes with everything you need (well batteries and SD cards excluded) those are about £170-190, make sure its the Motorsports version and the latest 5MP one not the older 3MP version.
Quality of the GoPro is hard to pass, it does suffer from the problems many (if not all) low budget cameras have which is that 'wobble' when moved quickly or vibrated. It isnt the worst I've seen but its there. A friend had his mounted with sticky pads rather than the suction mount, which made the wobbling a lot worse.
