I sent the undertail that I made from fiberglass to MrGrn and he copied it out of Carbofiber and sent me other goods back with it including the only one ever made stator cover

Now to the fun stuff, Radiators

Got a radiator from a CBR600RR and got to work on it because I notice that the HRC kit is straight on the one that stands up on the left and my bodywork now has a curve to it, so that looked like it could work but how would I know if I don’t make it fit…so, let’s make it fit!

Two radiators out of one with the perfect contour

Made the temples for the braces and caps out of cardboard to test and then cut out of aluminum to weld

Made the brackets to mount and fit

While they were out getting welded I ordered the lines and fittings needed to make the cooling lines and the welding parts done

Once back, got them on and fit the bodywork on it

Made a new bottle holder for the radiator catch and mounted to the ram air.

But once I installed the upper I noticed that the upper hose with the radiator cap was too high up and was holding the bodywork. So, either I cut the pipe and have it welded directly on to the radiator side instead of the top or I could cut the bodywork and have the radiator cap sticking out….Hmmm, I kind of like the cap sticking out

Bolt it all up and took it for a test ride around the block

The pipes got too close to the lowers and the Carrozzeria sticker got it bad

So new spacers to keep the pipe away were created and attached to the pipe

And off to the track for the real test…now that was fun!

Sorry. No action shots from that day, the photo crew never made it in.

So, so far, here is what I wanted in my mind and this is what I ended up with as of right now. Not too far from it, would you say?

When you first started on this project, I'll admit I was very skeptical. It turned out great and looks tits! You have truly done a great job!

Damn. That may be the most bastardized RC this side of the pond, but I like it. It's cool when people say screw it, I'm doing this my way, and then come out with something like this. Thanks for the write up man... you've got me thinking...

been there done that, the problem with the CBR (600 or 1000) is because the rear cylinder it won't let it fall where it needs to. they use the extra space over the trans for the tank.

we don't weld aluminum at the shop, i had that work done else where.

I am very VERY impressed. My only comment is a small one when you added a spacer to the the fairing instead of adding some heat sheild foil and leving the basin location. but then again, either way works and I love the way your bike looks. All this thread needs now is some video from multiple angles!

Thank you sir.

the pipe was way to close to the fairing, even with the shield it would be almost against it so i just moved it a bit to get some air in between them

Videos...will be working on them on June 27th-28th-29th. 3 days of trackdays with lots of time to play around.
