yup, like simon said, if youre having trouble with enamel reacting with your body paint, try switching to acrylic. the nice thing about acrylic paint is that regardless of the paint below, the acrylic thinner is usually pretty safe and doesnt react with whatever's below it, which is why i've transitioned from using enamel paint to acrylic paints for most of my models (plus they dont smell as much)
I now use Tamiya acrylic paints with tamiya acrylic paint thinner. most of my body paints are usually lacquer or acrylic. i don't use enamel anymore.
i usually only make 1 or 2 kits per year, but with the recession this year ive had more time on my hands than usual. in the past few years i've made tanks, ships and jets as well as cars and motorbikes. when i have time i'll take a few pics of my collection and post them up
