I sent him numerous emails and he was very responsive. He agreed the unit came off a SP1 and has since changed the listing.

Nice HRC replica fairing, but those mirrors are a stretch!

Maybe a nice set of bar end mirrors could be the answer?

New here but here is mine, I dont like the red front wheel. It will be painted black over winter, unless someone likes it and wants to trade for a black one.

Ah, you bought that one. I saw it PARKED at the last Zars event I was at (when I went diwn just before the lunch break). Are you going to get that thing out for some track time? The previous owner sure threw it around a bit!

Yeah I think I saw you peeking at it, not sure yet I would cry like a girl if I pitched it in the weeds. I hope he wasn't the CUSSER who put the bent(and tried to fix) rod back in the forks, or Im looking to do a pumpkin transplant on his skull.

What do you mean "a stetch" sorry? Do you mean they are too long or big? I've got shorter ones I may try, but I really don't get on with bar end mirrors. I don't like the way they look on the bike, and I don't like the view from them either

Cheers,
Al

Default More of the same in the mountains

I nearly sold it and switched to a 996 yesterday, but I went for a ride on the RC and changed my mind, phew that was close, a moment of insanity there!!

Default Photo shoot @ Calgary Olympic Park

The shots were taken at Calgary Olympic Park home of the 1988 winter Olympics, I zip lined down from the ski jump tower this summer, fun times, I almost crapped myself. I also did the Olympic bob sleigh run last winter with an Olympic driver, now that I would do again.

Hey Al, I was just referring to installing street mirrors onto HRC race replica fairings. Since the HRC fairings were not designed to use mirrors the mount points are a few inches closer to the rider and in turn moves your mirror stalks back to the very edge of the fairing/windscreen which makes it look like a "stretch" to try and use those fairings with mirrors at all.

Bar ends aren't for everyone, but I don't see how they can detract from the look of any RC when in comparison to the OEM mickey mouse set up. I do have to say that I prefer the view I get from my 1 barend mirror over the view I get from 2 stockers. *less distraction, more rearview, less shoulders.
