It was my first complete paint job. It took hours and hours and then some more hours after that.

I painted everything white and didn't have the guns set right. So I wet sanded the orange peel off. Then I painted everything red. I wet out nicely. I was just finishing the tank, when I bumped the tailpiece with my ass and knocked ot on the floor. So I got to do that over again.

Then I started the masking - way harder than it looks. I'm not a graphic artist, so it was hard to visualize the end result. It's not perfect, but I'm more than happy with it.

I have to say, I really like House of Kolor paint - but must admit, I don't have a lot of experience. The thing I like is that the base colors are non-catalyzing, so the reducing solvent will dissolve the paint after it dries. So when you paint the next color, ore the clear, it reactivates the paint and chemically bonds to it. You don't add a catalyst until you spray the clear, which then makes the paint impervious.

By the time I sprayed the clear, I had a good feel for it and the finish is brilliant!

Headed for Thunderhill in a couple weeks!

I am pretty sure the Repsol one used to belong to a friend of mine. He sold it to a guy from Finland (I think it was there anyway) it has strange round headlights. Extremely tricked up and sounded immense, made 140BHP RW on the same day a 2008 R1 made 155BHP.

Default The new high mounts

So I fitted the high mount looks and sounds even better imo, just waiting to pick up a tank to do a spray job, then fit the 40th Aniv Repsol plastics.

Thanks for the compliment.

I have had the new link for over a year, but it has taken me till now to get installed properly because I have been pullin teeth for months to get Ohlins USA to provide me the adjustable end eye-bolt I needed to use it with my Ohlins rearshock. After many months of hassles and headaches, I got the new bolt for $100 from them and now everything is perfect and my geometry is within an acceptable range.

I cant frickin wait to test the new rear suspension link and ohlins forks!

Stunna
