Here's my track project... almost ready. Still have to install the BT003RS tire's... 120/70-190/55 combo. I also have to replace the left side radiator, which leaks, and get the DZUS still clips that hold the sides of the upper fairings in place. I will be getting some OEM fairings later this year and putting her to dual duty until I find another bike for the track. I love this bike, and the sound is hypnotizing! Traded an 03 R6 track bike for this RC. Just had to have an RC51 It should look a little familiar. The previous owner is a member here. The bodywork also came from a member here too.

What day were you planning on making it out? I am considering going out on the 20th of this month, but the april 4th date is out for me. I think the 24th of April should be a definate. So far, I only make it out for RideSmart's days.... may try some other groups this year too.

Default Thanks

SwideRR

Thanks for the link. I like the looks of the SP1 hugger it looks like it covers more of the tire, but I guess it won't fit the SP2 ?? The SP2 one looks real small and doesn't cover much tire. I just like the bigger looking cover with more coverage of the tire. Thanks again! Hoover

Default Finally ready!

At last!
Fired her up last night and scared all the neighbors and thir dogs.
A couple more small details and I get to take her out of the vacuum of my garage and hang out with my old riding buddies!

The bike belonged to a good friend of mine.
He bought it in '02 and put the exhaust system on before he rode it home.
They were off-the-shelf items at Big Valley Honda at the time.

I built the motor for him in '05 and he only put about 5k miles on it after that. It also had the rear shock, mori link, tuned forks and other goodies on it when I bought it.

I took it a few steps further and built a dedicated track tool.
