Default Before pic..

This is a before pic complete with "involuntary" Suzuka Headlight Kit and a fresh sanded tail waiting for a little primer and paint!

Please excuse the location of events ...this was before I saw the light a long time ago. I promise I keep this stuff for the track only now.

Last spring I decided I was just going to race in 2006. I rarely rode the RC51 and thought the $$$ from selling the fiddyone would free up alot of greenbacks to buy spares for the SV racebike, and make the racing season easier on the wallet.

Well within days of selling the RC I realized I had made a huge mistake! Granted I got a good price for it, but nonetheless, I still made a big mistake and was soon searching for another one.

Well I found a 2003 for sale late last summer not far from where I live. It was kinda rough, but the price was right. Since then I have been transforming it into an exact clone of the one I pictured above. It has 2000-2002 bodywork on it, Sato Banzai's, and I just completed the 2004 swinger swap. I have replaced the rear shock. I am awaiting the wheels to be powdercoated gloss black, and will be sending the forks to Dan Kyle before the winter is over.

Live and learn.

Trent, your hilarious!!

I love that youre replicating the mismatching swingarm!! THATS dedication..

Hopefully someday we can do a trackday together before i move back to California.

Make sure to put some of these decals on the rim lips when they are done getting the glossy powdercoat, I swear its the coolest look EVER

Shit, Ill buy them for you to say thanks for helpin me out with the stock exhaust..

There are certain things that iconically define each one of us as people. With me it is motorbikes, and more specifically the RC51. The RC51 is MY bike!! It is the one thing I have chosen to identify myself,...right down to the bare swinger.

Yeah, come down to MAM sometime this year and I'll show you how to get around there very quickly.

As far as the rim decals go, I already have them sitting on my work bench waiting to go on the powdercoated wheels. I appreciate your compliments and the offer of the decals. I have always thought the RC needs more contrast and I feel the flat-black frame, bare swinger, and gloss wheels add just the right touch. Kinda inspired by Nicky's 2002 AMA bike??

its funny that you say that because alot of my personality traits come out in my motorcycle. I have never put so much time, effort, money or thought into anything in my life. My RC51 IS my pride and joy in life..

Let me know when the first trackday is planned and I can start planning early..

Cant wait to see the bike when its all done, since you dont know where the guy got those front turnsignals your going to need to do something else. Gman made me amazing decals to cover up that hole and make it look like it never had them from stock. If you want, im sure Gman would be happy if I sent you the extras so you could do yours..

Let me know bro.

Its going to be a RC51 Bananza when this winter is over, so many good guys back init with the RC's cant wait to see them all done.

Here's where I'm at to this point.

Waiting on a front sprocket from Scott. Re-attach the chain from the swinger swap, install PC wheels/tires, remove NH stickers, and I'll be back where I started over a year ago...!
