Ok, i got a new rotor from a friend. Its a proto of a full floating rear. Its cast iron/cryo. It saved almost 350g!

It did require a slight modification to Thorsten's caliper bracket.

Is your rim damaged in this photo? The spoke near the tyre valve? looks bent and the paint scratched off ...

BTW: Great work ... but I'd replace that rim.

Very sweet indeed. Its definitely my style. Couple of quick questions. Where did you get those fork bottoms and are those the cast iron rotors from braketech?

when you get closer to the end can you tell us how much the bike weighs?
Someone earlier asked if we could get some feedback on the Thorsten air box... does any one have anything to add on the subject?

Default Thorsten box

Furious,

Not to hijack eye P's thread, but I have a Thorsten box, IMO it is a very worthwhile mod. While I have not dynoed yet & I have too many other mods in the works so i wont be able to say exactly what the box alone did for me once I do dyno....I can tell you that for me personally from what I had read, the dyno's I did see & talking with Thorsten directly I was sold. The quality of the box is quite high & it weighs .75lbs. It has a very tight fit so the install takes a little work. Like all of the parts I have from Thorsten it very well engineered & built to exacting tolerances. As for my "ass dyno" well it feels the box is doing it's job in a big way.....Ohh & I almost forgot the coolest part...the sound is pure sex!

I have seen this beast first hand and let me say that It's NICE! Lots of one of bits that I have never seen before! You dont need ohlins all around on this monster! But we should light a fire under the owners ass to get it finished!

He's to busy running for guvner!

I have one on my bike and I love it. U cannot imagine how much the stock airbox weighs. Unfortunately, I did not do a before and after run on the dyno but it was obvious how much it improved HP. My rig posted nearly 10hp more than the highest RC (bike had a full Akra system) number posted on that specific dyno, which means absolutely nothing.

The sound of the bike with the airbox is awesome.

As it sits with all the bodywork it weighs just about 400lbs with 2 gallons of gas. The pipe is really heavy however, so that should go down to roughly 390.

As Jami pointed out, the Thorsten airbox is great bang for the buck.

Default Subframe

I'm sorry if someone has already asked, but what's the deal with the subframe? I was thinking of making my own before I bought one after my highside but I pussed out. Looks cool though.

Thanks for all the reply's. I am currently playingemail tag with Thorsten to pick up some of those items... Air box, Altenator, clutch basket... and possibly the cable clutch conversion.
I'd like to put my babe on a diet, so any input on the matter can Pm'd to me. Even if you think I have thought of it, you thinks its 'Dumb' mail it to me anyway. All ideas are welcome. Thanks again.
