Rear caliper is a Thorsten. Rear master was a CRF450. I had to mod the rearset to fit it. Elongating bolt holes is all that is required.

Thermosman aka T-Man suspensions (google)

Probably the best bouncy bit tuner we commoners have
access too (when he's not doing AMA stuff)

The bike looks awesome man

Yeah, I know Mike. Kind of hit or miss with him, especially during race season.

When he gets it right, it works great!

Thanks for the props bro-

Dont bother, imo.
Does it work ok? I know there isn't alot of fluid in that thing. I wouldn't do it but I'm trying to build an HRC style/undertail exhaust. I need all the room I can get between the rearset and swingarm.

Your bike is truly bad ass. Well done... Hope to get mine 1/10 as trick as yours.

Hey Jason,

Well, I read every reply here at work Friday, I didn't get to see the pictures and reading how everyone was going gew goe gagaga
over your RC51 rebuild,
(Not to mention how many frigging times you were asked the same frigging questions over and over and over again, My GOD!! ) OH!
Where was I,
I couldn't wait to get home and check her out.
FYI, (Pix are blocked at work) Now I see what and why all the gewgewgagagga remarkes, Sweet job man!

I have a question here in reguards to your reply to "reddevil" You told him "Don't bother, imo" my question is, don't bother with what,
the Thorsten hide away rear brake set-up or the master..?
I Love Thorstens Rear hide away brake and one day I am wanting to buy it but I've read over on Rogue
that with this set-up, the rear brake is pretty useless!...?

OH yeah, LOL Man, after seeing a side shot with no fairings on, and front mount rads. installed,
I have to ask, how often you plan on replacing that front Spark Plug!..? LOL Hahaha Man Oh Man Oh Man!

Jason, again Great Up-Grade Rebuild Job, as Chris said, "You should be proud"

Peace Jeff

PS. Before I forget, what exhaust header is that? jk Hahaa

i have thorsten's rear brake and to be honest, the only thing i use it for is to actuate the rear brake light... i took the pressure switch off my brembo front master because it was messing with my brake feel so i put a pressure switch out back.

thorsten's rear brake offers nothing but brake lights and brake dust.

i got it to lock up ONCE when i grabbed a mitfull of front brakes and mashed the rear as hard as i could. when you're riding and roll off throttle and jam the rear brake, the bike barely slows down.

but, at the end of the day, it hasn't affected my riding and looks pretty cool. i like it.

The front brake line set up you are using? is it the "corse" set up from Yoyodyneti? How did it work for you. Im trying to find a better solution for the front lines. Thanks.

The best lines available at any price: Spiegler. You can buy direct and they stand behind the product.

Agreed, my custom made spiegler line is perfect in every sense of the word. I will be having them construct my front lines when I get my new brembo radials.

Hey Will,
Thanks for answering my question,..... Which now makes me ask another one .. What about different brake pads for Thorsten rear caliper,.. is there anything with alittle more grip?

Again, I Love this "T" r b set-up, (I will buy it one day) but I also use my rear brake alot, going into corners and what not but especially IF I'm caught out in the rain!~...
Anyone ever mod. Thorstens rear cal. to make it work better, possible or?

TIA

Peace Jeff

......

If you want more grip, stick with stock, or a non-modded rear caliper.

....... Thanks for helping Dave,
But the question IS has anyone tried different pads or has anyone tried to mod. "Thorstens rear caliper" some how to make it work better?

I am asking this because the people that have bought the "Thorsten hide away rear brake", seem to imply, that this set-up is not very effective.
That's all, so I'll say sorry now as it seems I was unclear, as usual

Peace Jeff
