Default WTB carbon fibre dress up parts

Hey everyone im looking for carbon fibre dress up parts. Either new or good condition used. I have looked all over trying to find triple clamp cover, gauge cover and anything else i have only find one site in england that has these small kinds of things. The shippibg is worth more than the parts themselves. Any info is appreciated thanks in advance.

It's not nice, do some searching around here. Very wavy, ill fitting, not uniform, pitted, poorly finished.. the list goes on. There are some good carbon makers though, Tyga makes nice stuff and the TurnOne stuff was above boar as well, but he primarily focuses on performance stuff like airboxes, intakes, rad scoops and recently undertails.

There's a guy on ebay who cuts out triple clamp covers from the 3M backed CF sheets. Never had one so can't say much about quality or fit, he's located in TX I think.

As for a gauge cover...go with Magical Racing, the stickers are just that...stickers.

IMHO a triple clamp sticker would never look as good as a machined clamp like Tyga sells. I have their silver one and it is fantastic as is the rest of Tyga's stuff.

Stickers add horsepower though... it's true.

Apparently, so does carbon.

I really don't get most of it. I can see if you are adding a hugger, get the lightest possible. If you are replacing something necessary, use something lighter. But if you add something unnecessary to your bike, then you are still adding something. Why even use it? The whole point of carbon fiber, and composite materials in general is that they can attain the same amount of strength with less weight when designed properly. That is why they are used in the motor sports and aerospace industries: because they can replace existing, necessary components to reduce weight.

"Dressing" your bike up in unneeded and tacky carbon fiber bits doesn't do anything for the looks. It just says "hey, I'm one step above the guy with chrome spiked windscreen bolts, predator vs. aliens painted on the side and a sony playstation strapped to my shit"

Like.

Functional carbon fiber is cool. Carbon fiber covering up something to try and make it look cool is what uninformed high school kids do.

Lol well thank you all for your opinions. I basically wanted to clean up the old look of the gauge cluster and triple clamps and thought that would be the best solution. After seeing those tyga triple clamps i ordered them instantly. Sooooo does any one have any better options to cleaning up my old faded gauge cluster other than using "tacky" carbon stickers? I love the performance of my rc but i also love the way it looks im sure a lot of you would agree that you would rather have a clean eye appealing rc over an rc with the same performance but doesnt look as nice?

Fortunately, I do research before purchasing goods and have seen at least a dozen threads on this board and others attesting to the lack of quality and effort displayed in your work. To answer your question, as you know, I'm currently using one of your fenders on my bike and while it works, the quality just isn't there. It's wavy, not uniform/symmetrical, the finish is peeling and it's pitted. As seen in many, many other threads detailing your work. You don't take the steps needed to improve your products and you are unashamed of this.. I don't want some poor sap to buy something of yours and expect a quality part, rivaling other carbon makers.

Like i have directly asked you. How many parts have you bought from me?

You have stated this second hand part you bought from somebody else that i have never seen you use to slam me with. I have offered to take it back and look at it, freshen it up of whatever as a nice gesture even though the thing could be beat to crap due to no fault of mine. How much did you happen to pay for it $50 and you are going to complain it is not a MR fender LMAO. I do what i can as a one man part time band. I make no claims about being superior to multi million dollar companies, i do me.

I am sure the poor saps can handle thier own worries and don't need your barely second hand advice saving them from themselves or trying to trash my efforts because you are angry and bitter

I've never bought parts from you mrgrn. I never will. I do research on things before I buy. My thoughts on your products aren't based solely on the fender I have. The countless threads I've seen and will gladly link to yet again did it for me. Shall I post pics?

Finally, the truth.

This is my last reponse to you. i don't need to see the 6 pics you all have saved for half a decade you keep bringing up like it was yesterday third hand from a uncle twice removed. I have 20 times as many good pics on my site vs your 6 pics. I do the best i can and if i get one or two Issues a year vs the hundreds i am 90% happy while striving for better next year. I have self taught myself a hobby and treid to give back and always offer more each year and you have offered what again LOL?

nice, saw you edited this post with all of that jargon after a few minutes. Might have missed it otherwise. It's not just the junk you turn out, but the way you handle it when confronted. As for those lifters, may god be with the poor soul who tries to use them. Considering you don't vacuum bag, that is just reckless and irresponsible selling shit like that. The structural integrity just isn't there.
